EDD sent wrong certification form - How to get correct one ASAP?
I need help with my unemployment claim certification form. They sent me the wrong form last time - the one for my doctor instead of the one I'm supposed to fill out myself. Now I'm worried they might cut off my benefits if I don't get the right form soon. Has anyone else had this problem? What should I do when I call them to make sure I get the correct form this time?

Ugh, classic EDD mix-up. š When you call, make sure to be super specific about which form you need. Tell them it's the claim certification form for YOU, not your doctor. And double-check they have your correct mailing address on file. Good luck!

I feel your pain, OP. I've been dealing with EDD for months now and it's been a nightmare. Here's what I've learned: ā¢ Always follow up if you don't receive something within a week ā¢ Keep a record of every interaction (date, time, who you spoke to) ā¢ If possible, try to get things in writing or email ā¢ Be persistent! Don't let them brush you off It's frustrating, but hang in there. You'll get your benefits eventually!

Hey, I found a way to actually get someone on the phone! I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Check out this video: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

I get the skepticism, but it really did work for me. After spending hours trying to get through, it was worth it. But yeah, it sucks we have to pay extra just to access our benefits.

This happened to me last year! I ended up having to fax (yes, FAX in 2023 š) a request for the correct form. It took forever but eventually worked. Might be worth a shot if the phone call doesn't pan out.
