EDD payments stuck in pending after doctor recertification - help!

Hey everyone, I'm having some issues with my disability payments. I submitted all the necessary paperwork online, including my doctor's recertification extending my leave until the end of next year. But for some reason, my payments are still not coming through. It seems like everything is stuck in pending status. Has anyone else experienced this? Any advice on how to get things moving?

I found a way to solve disability payment delays, watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9zYLy731O6w

Ugh, I feel your pain! I've been dealing with the same issue for weeks now. It's like everything just disappears into a black hole once you submit it online. Have you tried calling them? That's usually the only way to get any real answers.

I've tried calling, but it's impossible to get through. I've been on hold for hours and then get disconnected. It's so frustrating!

Pro tip: call right when they open. I managed to get through after only 45 minutes on hold that way. Still ridiculous, but better than nothing.

45 minutes? Luuucky. I've been trying for days and can't even get put on hold. This system is a joke 🤡

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

Sounds too good to be true. Has anyone else tried this?

$20 just to talk to someone? That's ridiculous. The system is so broken.

I know it sounds sketchy, but I swear it worked for me. Saved me hours of frustration. Sometimes you gotta pay to play, I guess 🤷‍♂️

How long did you have to wait once you used the service?

It took about an hour, but I didn't have to actively wait on hold. The service called me when an agent was on the line. Way better than wasting a whole day trying to get through.

Have you checked your online account for any messages or requests for additional information? Sometimes they need more docs but don't make it obvious.

This happened to me last year. Turns out there was a glitch in their system and my doctor's recertification wasn't properly linked to my claim. I had to have my doctor resubmit everything. It's worth asking them to double-check all the paperwork on their end.

Oh man, that's a good point. I'll definitely ask about that when I finally get through to someone. Thanks for the tip!

Classic government efficiency 🙄 Always blame the "glitch" instead of admitting they messed up.

Here's what you need to do to get this resolved: 1. Document everything. Keep a log of all your submissions, calls, and interactions. 2. Double-check your online account for any pending tasks or messages. 3. Contact your doctor's office to ensure they properly submitted the recertification. Get a copy for your records. 4. If calling isn't working, try reaching out via social media. Sometimes their Twitter support is more responsive. 5. Consider contacting your local state representative. They often have liaisons who can escalate cases. 6. As a last resort, you might want to file a formal complaint with the state oversight board. Remember, persistence is key. Don't give up, and don't be afraid to escalate if you're not getting anywhere. Good luck!

You laugh, but I've had success with faxing before. Some of these government systems are stuck in the stone age.

I'm in the same boat, OP. Been waiting for 2 months now. This whole system is a joke. We need to organize and demand better service!
