EDD online system down until Friday - Need to submit disability claim certification ASAP. Help!
Hey everyone, I'm in a bit of a pickle here. I need to submit my disability claim certification, but the online system is down until Friday night. I'm worried about missing the deadline. Has anyone dealt with this before? Any advice on what to do?

Ugh, that sucks! The EDD system is always having issues. Have you tried calling them? Maybe they can give you an extension or something.

I've been trying to call all morning, but no luck getting through. It's so frustrating!

Calling is a nightmare. I spent 3 hours on hold last week and then got disconnected. 🤬

Yikes, sounds like a typical EDD experience. Hang in there, OP!

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

Sounds too good to be true. Is this legit?

Yeah, it's legit. I was skeptical at first too, but it saved me hours of frustration. Worth every penny imo.

How long did it take for them to call you back?

It took about 45 minutes for me, but I've heard it can vary depending on how busy they are.

Pro tip: Document EVERYTHING. Take screenshots of the error messages, note down the times you tried to access the system, and any other relevant info. This can help if they try to penalize you for late submission.

Have you checked if theres a local EDD office near you? Sometimes you can submit paperwork in person. Might be worth a shot!

This is why I always submit my stuff early. You never know when the system's gonna crap out on you. 🤷♂️

Not everyone has that luxury, my dude. Some of us are living paycheck to paycheck.

Fair point. Didn't mean to come off as insensitive. My bad.

I've been dealing with EDD for months now, and here's what I've learned: 1. Always keep a paper trail. Save confirmation numbers, screenshots, and emails. 2. Try calling right when they open or just before they close. Sometimes you have better luck. 3. If all else fails, reach out to your local state representative. They can sometimes intervene on your behalf. 4. Join Facebook groups or forums dedicated to EDD issues. Sometimes you can get real-time updates on system issues there. 5. Don't give up! It's frustrating, but persistence usually pays off. Hang in there, OP. We're all in the same boat. 💪
