Missed EDD document submission deadline? What to do next

Hey everyone, I'm in a bit of a pickle. I submitted my required documentation for my claim but I'm not sure if it was received or if I need to do anything else. The deadline was December 11th and I'm worried I might have missed it. Has anyone else been in this situation? What should I do next?

I found a way to solve claim documentation submission uncertainty, watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QFDjZSdp-_Y

Ugh, I feel you. The system is such a mess! I went through something similar last month. Here's what I did: 1. Call them ASAP. Like, yesterday. 2. Keep a record of when you submitted your docs (date, time, method). 3. Ask them to confirm receipt and if anything else is needed. 4. If you can't get through on the phone (which is likely), try emailing or using their online portal if available. Good luck, and don't give up!

This is solid advice 💯 I'd add: take screenshots of everything you submit online. It's saved my butt more than once!

Calling them is a joke tho. I spent 3 hours on hold last week and got disconnected 🤬

Yeah, the phone system is a nightmare. That's why I mentioned email as a backup. At least you have a paper trail that way.

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

Sounds too good to be true. Has anyone else tried this?

$20? That's steep. Is it really worth it?

I was skeptical too, but it saved me hours of frustration. For me, it was definitely worth the $20. Your mileage may vary, but it worked as advertised.

dont panic yet. sometimes they take a while to process things. have you checked your online account? sometimes it updates there before they contact you

I'm in the same boat, OP. Submitted my docs last week and radio silence since then. This whole process is so stressful 😫

Pro tip: If you cant get through on the main line, try calling your local office. Sometimes they can help or at least give you more info.

This! 👆 Local offices are the unsung heroes. Got my issue resolved in 15 minutes after weeks of getting nowhere with the main line.

Have you tried reaching out to your state representative? They sometimes have liaisons who can help push things through faster.
