EDD Payment Delay After Submitting Reduced Hours Form - How Long Did You Wait?
Hey everyone, I just submitted my reduced hours form and now I'm waiting for my payment. Has anyone else gone through this process recently? How long did it take for you to receive your payment after submitting the form? I'm getting a bit anxious about when the money will come through.

I went through this last month. It took about 2 weeks for me to get paid after submitting the reduced hours form. Hang in there!

Thanks for sharing your experience! Two weeks isn't too bad. I hope mine comes through that quickly too.

Wow, a month? That's rough. I guess I got lucky with the timing. Hope OP doesn't have to wait that long!

Make sure you double-check that you filled out everything correctly on the form. I made a tiny mistake and it delayed my payment by weeks. š¤¦āāļø

Ugh, the waiting game is the worst. I'm in the same boat, submitted my form last week and still nothing. This whole process is so frustrating!

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone about this! I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

Sounds too good to be true. Has anyone else tried this?

$20 just to talk to someone? That's ridiculous, we shouldn't have to pay for customer service!

I get the skepticism, but it seriously saved me hours of frustration. Worth every penny imo. And yeah, it sucks we have to pay, but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do š¤·āāļø

Pro tip: Keep a detailed log of all your submissions, including dates and confirmation numbers if you get them. It'll help if you need to follow up or if there are any discrepancies.

Has anyone heard about the new bill they're trying to pass to speed up the payment process? I saw something on the news but couldn't find much info online.

I think I saw that too. Something about increasing staff and upgrading the computer systems? But who knows when that'll actually happen š

Here's what I've learned after dealing with this system for months: ā¢ Always submit forms as early as possible in the week ā¢ Double-check EVERYTHING before submitting ā¢ Keep copies of all documents you submit ā¢ If you don't hear anything after 3 weeks, start trying to contact them ā¢ Use the online portal when possible, it's usually faster than mail ā¢ If you need to call, try early in the morning or late afternoon ā¢ Be persistent but polite when dealing with staff Hope this helps someone! We're all in this together. šŖ

Anyone else feel like they need a degree in bureaucracy just to navigate this system? šš¤”
