EDD hasn't sent my reduced hour wages form - what to do?

Hey everyone, I'm having trouble with my reduced hour wages form. I was supposed to receive it from EDD but it hasn't shown up yet. Has anyone else experienced this? Any advice on what I should do next?

NebulaNova

Ugh, classic EDD. They're always dropping the ball on something. Have you tried calling them? That's usually the best way to get things sorted out.

I've been trying to call but can't get through. It's so frustrating! 😤

Pro tip: call right when they open. Like, set an alarm and everything. It's the only way I've ever gotten through.

Calling is a nightmare. I spent 3 hours on hold last week and then got disconnected. 🤦‍♂️

I had the same issue last month. Turns out they had the wrong address on file for me. Double-check your contact info in your online account if you can.

Hey, I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

Sounds too good to be true. Has anyone else tried this?

$20? That's highway robbery! The government should make it easier to reach them without having to pay extra.

I get the skepticism, but it honestly saved me so much time and frustration. Worth every penny imho.

How long did you have to wait with this service?

It took about an hour, but I didn't have to actively wait on hold. The service called me when an agent was on the line.

Have you checked your spam folder? Sometimes EDD emails end up there. Also, make sure you're logged into UI Online and check for any messages or alerts there.

Good idea, I'll double-check my spam folder. Didn't think of that!

The whole system is broken af. I've been waiting on my form for weeks too. This is why we need UBI, man. Cut out all this bureaucratic bs.

Preach! 🙌 The amount of hoops we gotta jump through is ridiculous.

UBI would create more problems than it solves. We just need to streamline the current system.

Here's what you need to do: 1. Log into your UI Online account and check for any pending action items or messages. 2. If nothing there, try to request the form again through the online portal. 3. If that doesn't work, you'll need to contact EDD directly. Try these methods: - Call early in the morning, right when they open - Use the 'Contact Us' form on the EDD website - Reach out via social media (sometimes they respond on Twitter) 4. If all else fails, contact your local state representative. They often have liaisons who can help with EDD issues. Remember to document all your attempts to contact them. If there's a delay in your benefits due to their error, you may be able to get retroactive payments. Hang in there, OP. The system is frustrating, but persistence usually pays off.

Wow, thank you so much for this detailed response! I'll start working through these steps right away.

This is great advice. Wish I had known about contacting my state rep when I was having issues!

Have you tried faxing them? I know it sounds old school, but sometimes it actually works faster than calling or emailing.
