Can't find form to continue benefits on EDD website. Help!
Hey everyone, I'm trying to continue my benefits but I'm having trouble finding the right form. Does anyone know where I can find it or what I need to do? I've been looking all over the website and I'm totally lost. Any help would be really appreciated!

Ugh, I feel your pain! The website is such a maze. Have you tried looking under the 'Forms' section? Sometimes they hide it there. If not, you might need to call them directly. Good luck!

Thanks for the suggestion! I looked in the 'Forms' section but couldn't find anything specific to continuing benefits. Maybe I'm just missing it? 🤔

Pro tip: use the search function on the website and type in 'continue benefits form'. Sometimes that works better than navigating through the menus.

I had the same issue last month! Turns out, for my case, I didn't need a specific form. I just had to recertify through my online account. Have you checked if that's an option for you?

Oh really? I didn't even think about that. I'll definitely check my online account. Thanks for the tip!

The system is so broken, I swear they make it confusing on purpose 🤬 I've been trying to sort out my benefits for weeks now. It's like they don't want us to get help!

Hey, I found a way to actually get someone on the phone! I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

Sounds too good to be true. Are you sure it's legit?

Yeah, I was skeptical at first too, but I tried it and it actually worked. Saved me hours of frustration.

20 bucks tho? That's kinda steep just to talk to someone...

I get it, but for me, it was worth it. Time is money, and I was wasting so much time trying to get through on my own.

Have you tried reaching out to your local unemployment office? Sometimes they have resources or can point you in the right direction. It's worth a shot!

That's a good idea, I'll give that a try. Thanks!

Okay, so here's what you need to do: 1. Log into your account on the benefits website 2. Look for a section called 'Claim Maintenance' or 'Continue Benefits' 3. There should be an option to recertify or extend your current claim 4. If you don't see that, look for a button that says 'File a New Claim' - sometimes continuing benefits is actually filing a new claim 5. If none of these options are available, you may need to call them Remember, the process can vary depending on your state and the type of benefits you're receiving. If you're still stuck, don't hesitate to call the helpline. It might take a while to get through, but it's better than guessing and potentially messing up your benefits. Hope this helps!

This is great advice! I'd add that taking screenshots of each step can be really helpful if you need to reference something later or if you run into issues.

Has anyone else noticed that the website is always 'under maintenance' when you actually need to use it? 🙄

Pro tip: try accessing the site late at night or early in the morning. Less traffic and fewer maintenance issues.
