If I could give 10 stars I would

If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Really made a difference

Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!

I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!

Glad it worked! Side note - manually entering tax info instead of using the data transfer tool can sometimes increase your chances of being selected for verification later. If you receive a verification notice, don't panic - just respond promptly with the requested documentation.

Oh no, I hadn't considered that about manual entry! If we do get selected for verification, I'll make sure to respond quickly. Thanks for the heads up!

UPDATE: Relieved to share that nothing changed with our aid package! I checked again today and everything is still showing as processed with the same SAI. The financial aid office confirmed they haven't received any updates or verification requests. Thanks everyone for the help and information - this forum saved me a lot of stress and unnecessary phone calls!

Great news! Thanks for updating us. This is exactly why I tell families not to panic about these notices - most of the time they're just routine checks that don't affect anything.

@profile5 - It's not too late to appeal for 2024-25. While some institutional aid might already be allocated, federal aid like Pell Grants can still be adjusted, and schools often hold back some of their own funds for situations like yours. Contact your daughter's financial aid office immediately. One more tip: when documenting income reduction, provide a simple table showing: - Pre-reduction annual income - Post-reduction annual income - Total projected income for the full relevant year This makes it easier for financial aid officers to understand and process your request. Many families just submit documents without clearly showing the bottom-line impact.

That table suggestion is brilliant. Making it easy for them to see the numbers clearly sounds like it would speed up the process. I'll put that together this weekend and contact the financial aid office next week. Thank you!

This whole system is ridiculous! My daughter just started college and we had to hire a financial aid consultant for $350 just to figure it all out. Even with professional help it took MONTHS to get everything sorted. Good luck with next year's application!!

u got SCAMMED paying someone $350 lol. youtube has all that info for FREE!!!

my daughter had this same issue but with like 5 SCHOOLS lol. what we did was put deposit at her top 2 choices only, then when all the aid packages finally came in we just lost one deposit. cheaper than paying all 5. you could also try askin the june 1 deadline school if they can get u the package earlier so u can decide on the may 15 schools?

Smart! Wish we'd thought of that approach.

Just to follow up - I recommend you check if any of these schools subscribe to the National Candidates Reply Date Agreement. If they do, they're supposed to give you until May 1 to decide AND provide your complete financial aid package well before that. The fact that a school told you outright they won't have aid info before their own deadline is concerning and potentially against this agreement. You have legitimate grounds to request an extension based on this alone.

Update: I got extensions from both May 15 schools! The first one gave us until May 25 and the second until May 29. The second school's financial aid office apologized for the delay and said they're overwhelmed with the new FAFSA system this year. At least now we'll be able to compare all three offers before making a decision. Thanks for all the advice everyone!

Just make sure she actually did fill everything out correctly tho. Not to be a downer but if there was a mistake and they catch it later, they could reduce her aid or even make her repay it. Double check all the indepedent student questions to be 100% sure.

That's a good point. I'll have her review everything. Better to catch any mistakes now than have problems later!

One more thing - with a negative SAI, make sure your daughter still applies for scholarships!!! Some people think they don't need to with good FAFSA results, but every bit helps. And some scholarship money can be used for living expenses after tuition is covered!

That's excellent advice - she'll definitely continue applying for scholarships. Thank you!
