If I could give 10 stars I would

If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Really made a difference

Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!

I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!

UPDATE: Finally got in! For anyone still having issues, I used Claimyr like someone suggested above and got through to an agent in about 15 mins. They confirmed they're having email system problems and helped me get a temporary access code that bypassed the email verification. My application is submitted now! If you're still stuck, definitely try calling through Claimyr or contact your school's financial aid office. Thanks everyone for the help!

Great news! Just as a heads up for everyone - make sure you save/print your confirmation page and SAI calculation once you submit. With the system being glitchy, it's always good to have documentation of your submission in case there are any issues later.

I'm glad you were able to get through! I actually ended up calling my daughter's university financial aid office directly and they gave us a one-week extension on their institutional deadline. They said they've been getting many similar calls about the FAFSA email verification system.

The FAFSA system this year is complete garbage. They rushed out all these "simplification" changes without proper testing and now students are paying the price. I've been trying to help my nephew with his application for WEEKS and we keep hitting different errors. The signature page issue is especially bad because it's literally the last step before submission, so you think you're done and then... ERROR. I complained to my congressman about it and surprisingly his office responded saying they've received hundreds of similar complaints and are pressuring the Department of Education to extend all financial aid deadlines this year. Maybe we should all be contacting our representatives about this disaster.

That's actually a great idea. I hadn't thought about contacting our representative, but you're right - this is a systemic issue that's affecting so many students. I'm going to do that tomorrow. Can't hurt to add another voice to the complaints!

yeah the "simplified" fafsa is like 10x worse than before lmaooo. whoever designed this needs to be fired fr

UPDATE: Finally got it to work! After trying basically everything suggested here, what finally worked was: 1. Using Microsoft Edge in InPrivate mode (thanks to the financial aid advisor who suggested this!) 2. Turning off my ad blocker (great tip from the parent who mentioned popup blockers) 3. Doing it at 5:30am when the system wasn't busy We got all the way through and have our confirmation email! Our SAI score was immediately available too. Now I'm going to help my daughter email her schools to explain the delay just to be safe. Thank you all so much for your help - I was seriously ready to throw my computer out the window!

Excellent news! I'm glad you got it resolved. That 5:30am timing definitely helps with the FAFSA system performance. Smart move to still contact the schools - it's always good to document these situations even after they're resolved.

maybe try clearing browser cookies and using incognito mode? worked for me when I kept getting stuck on the contributor page last month

Thanks for the suggestion, but we've already tried different browsers, clearing cache/cookies, incognito mode, different devices, even a completely different internet connection at my sister's house. It's definitely something deeper in their system.

Update on our situation that might help others: After using the Claimyr service mentioned above (which actually worked!), we got through to a supervisor at FSA who fixed our technical issue. Then we submitted a formal appeal to our university's financial aid office with documentation of the FAFSA system errors. They ended up giving us a 14-day extension on all scholarship deadlines! Already got notice that our son qualified for two institutional scholarships we thought we'd missed. DOCUMENT EVERYTHING and be persistent with appeals!

That's amazing news! This gives me so much hope. I'm going to follow this exact approach. Thank you for sharing your success story - it's honestly the first positive outcome I've heard in this whole frustrating process.

Just my 2 cents... I used to think like you (why bother with FAFSA if we don't need aid) but then my husband unexpectedly lost his job in our daughter's junior year. Having the FAFSA already on file made it SO much easier to request a professional judgment review based on our changed circumstances. They adjusted her aid package mid-year and it saved us from having to withdraw her from school. You never know what might happen!

I'm sorry you went through that, but thank you for sharing. You're right - we can't predict everything, and it's better to have options available just in case.

One important thing to note: Many private universities actually require FAFSA completion for all students regardless of need - it's in their enrollment policies. Check your son's school handbook or financial aid website. Some will actually place registration holds if you don't complete it annually.

Just checked my son's school portal - you're right! There's actually a note that says all continuing students must have a current FAFSA on file to register for next semester. Thanks for pointing this out!

Another tip - after you submit, SCREENSHOT EVERYTHING!! I learned this the hard way when FSA claimed they never received documentation I uploaded. Had no proof and had to resubmit which cost me another 2 weeks.

Great advice! I'll definitely do that. Do they send a confirmation email with submission details that would help too?

They send a confirmation but it doesn't include all the details you entered. Screenshot the confirmation page that shows up right after submission - it has the detailed summary of everything.

If your FAFSA does get flagged because of errors, don't panic! I had mine flagged for verification last year (apparently my dad's SSN was entered incorrectly). I submitted the correction online, then contacted my school's financial aid office directly. They were able to push my application through their system once the correction was processed. The key is being proactive and not just waiting for automated emails.
