What day does Washington ESD unemployment deposit come through?
I just filed my weekly claim yesterday and I'm trying to figure out what day my unemployment deposit will hit my account. This is my second week claiming and I can't remember when it came last time. Does Washington ESD have a set schedule for when they deposit unemployment payments? I need to know so I can plan my bills accordingly.

Usually Tuesday or Wednesday if you file your weekly claim on Sunday. Washington ESD processes payments in batches so it depends on when you submit your claim.

The deposit schedule can vary based on your bank too. Some banks release ACH deposits faster than others. Washington ESD typically sends payments out Monday-Tuesday for claims filed over the weekend.

•I have Chase, do you know if they're usually fast with unemployment deposits?

•Chase is pretty quick, you should see it by Tuesday evening or Wednesday morning at the latest.

If you're having trouble getting through to Washington ESD to check on payment status, I found this service called Claimyr that helped me reach an agent. They have a demo at https://youtu.be/7DieNd3C7zQ and their site is claimyr.com. Really helped when my payments were delayed and I needed to talk to someone.

•How much does that cost? I'm already broke waiting for my unemployment money

•It's worth it when you need to actually reach someone at Washington ESD. Way better than calling for hours and getting hung up on.

•I'll keep that in mind if my payment doesn't show up this week, thanks

•Same here, I've gotten into a routine of filing Sunday and expecting money Tuesday

Washington ESD is SO SLOW with everything. I've been waiting 3 weeks for my adjudication to clear and still no payments at all!

•That's a different issue - adjudication delays can take weeks unfortunately. OP is asking about regular payment timing.

•Well hopefully they get their money faster than I'm getting mine...

•For adjudication issues, that Claimyr service I mentioned earlier really helps get through to agents who can check your case status

Just to clarify - you have to file your weekly claim first before any deposit happens. You can't get paid without completing your weekly claim certification on the Washington ESD website.

•Yes I filed it yesterday, just wondering about timing now

•Make sure you're filing every week even if you worked some hours. You still might qualify for partial benefits.

I always check my account Tuesday morning and it's usually there by 8am. If it's not there by Wednesday something is probably wrong.

•Good rule of thumb, I'll check Tuesday morning then

•And if you can't get through to Washington ESD, that's when services like Claimyr really come in handy for reaching an actual person

One thing to watch out for - if there are any issues with your claim that week (like you reported work hours incorrectly or there's a system glitch), your payment might be delayed. Washington ESD will usually send you a notice if there's a problem.

•I was pretty careful filling it out so hopefully no issues

•You should be fine then. Just keep an eye out for any notices in your SecureAccess Washington account.

If you have direct deposit set up correctly, you're looking at Tuesday-Wednesday. If you're getting a debit card, it might take an extra day or two.

•I have direct deposit so that's good

•Direct deposit is definitely faster than the debit card option

I remember my first few weeks I was checking my account every hour waiting for the money to show up. Now I just know it'll be there Tuesday and don't stress about it.

Just make sure you keep doing your job search activities too. Washington ESD requires 3 job search activities per week and they do audit people randomly.

•Yeah I've been keeping track of my job applications in WorkSourceWA

•Good, that's the safest way to document everything for Washington ESD

My experience: Sunday filing = Tuesday deposit. Monday filing = Wednesday deposit. That's been consistent for me over the past 6 months.

•Perfect, so Wednesday for me since I filed Monday. Thanks for the clear breakdown!
