Is 800-318-6022 still the correct ESD number for weekly claim questions?
Hey everyone, I'm trying to contact ESD about an answer I selected on my weekly claim this week. I think I might have clicked the wrong option (the choices they give are so limited!) and now I'm worried my payment will be delayed. Is 800-318-6022 still the right number to call? Been trying all morning but keep getting that annoying busy signal. Anyone know if they changed their phone number or if there's a better time to call? The anxiety is killing me because rent is due next week!

Yes, 800-318-6022 is still the main ESD customer service number in 2025. But honestly, good luck getting through! I've found that calling right when they open at 8:00 AM gives you the best chance. If you're worried about your weekly claim, you might also try sending a message through your eServices account under the

Thanks for confirming! I've tried calling at 8am sharp but still no luck. I'll try the eServices message option but I'm nervous about how long they'll take to respond. My claim is for last week and I accidentally selected \

I had the EXACT same problem last month!!! Clicked NO on the available for work question by accident and freaked out. Called that number for THREE DAYS straight and never got through. Then my claim got put in adjudication and I had to wait almost 3 weeks for them to fix it!!!! The system is BROKEN and they should atleast give us a way to correct simple mistakes!!!

That's definitely still the right number. I had to call them last week about an employer dispute. If you're having trouble getting through (which is super common), I'd recommend trying Claimyr. It's a service that helps you get through to an ESD agent without spending hours redialing. I used it when my claim was stuck in pending for weeks and got through in about 20 minutes. Their website is claimyr.com and they have a video showing how it works: https://youtu.be/7DieNd3C7zQ?si=26TzE_zGms-DODN3. Was absolutely worth it to get my claim issue resolved quickly.

I've never heard of that service before. Does it actually work? Seems like it might be too good to be true with how impossible it is to reach ESD these days.

To clarify what others have said: Yes, 800-318-6022 is still the correct number for ESD unemployment claims. Regarding your specific situation with selecting

Thank you so much for breaking it down like this! I'm going to try calling again tomorrow morning, and if that doesn't work, I'll send a message through eServices explaining exactly what happened. Really appreciate the detailed explanation.

When I was on unemployment last year I noticed they sometimes updated the prompts on the phone system without telling anyone. One week you'd press 3 for claims questions and the next week 3 would be for something completely different! So frustrating!!!!

To answer your question about Claimyr - yes, it does actually work. I was skeptical too but was desperate after trying for days to get through about my adjudication issue. The service basically keeps dialing for you and gets you in the queue, then calls you when they have an agent on the line. Saved me hours of redial frustration.

That's helpful to know. I'm going to try calling myself one more time tomorrow morning, but if that doesn't work I might give it a try. At this point I just want to talk to a human at ESD before my claim gets completely messed up!

Just wanted to follow up - one other option you have is to go to a WorkSource office in person. Some of them have direct lines to ESD or can help you navigate claim issues. You might have to wait, but at least you're guaranteed to talk to someone eventually. The website should show which locations offer unemployment services.

I tried this at the WorkSource in Tacoma and they told me they couldn't help with claims anymore!!! Just sent me to a computer to call the same number. Such a waste of time driving there. Maybe some offices still help but call first to check!

UPDATE: I finally got through! Called exactly at 8:00am and only waited about 25 minutes. The agent was actually really nice and said this happens all the time. She put a note on my claim explaining it was an error and that I AM available for work. She said I probably won't even go into adjudication since she caught it early. SO RELIEVED! Thanks everyone for the advice!

That's excellent news! Getting through early in the morning is definitely the way to go. Glad to hear they were able to resolve it quickly without sending you to adjudication. Thanks for coming back to update us.

That's fantastic news, Amina! So glad you got through and they could fix it right away. This gives me hope for when I inevitably make a similar mistake on my weekly claim. It's reassuring to know that the agents understand these things happen and can add notes to prevent claims from going into adjudication. Thanks for updating us - it's really helpful to see how these situations actually get resolved!
