I'm seriously considering quitting my job because of a toxic work environment but I'm worried about being denied unemployment benefits. My supervisor has been creating a hostile workplace - constantly yelling, making unreasonable demands, and treating employees terribly. Several coworkers have already quit because of the situation. I've documented incidents but haven't filed any formal complaints yet. Does Washington ESD consider toxic work environment as good cause for quitting? What kind of proof would I need to show them? I can't afford to be without income but I also can't keep working in these conditions.
