One more thing - if you're ever unsure about a specific holiday, you can always check the federal calendar online. Any day that federal employees get off will delay Washington ESD payments.
Honestly if ur having trouble reaching Washington ESD about this or any other payment issues, that Claimyr thing mentioned earlier actually works. Used it last month when my payment was way late and needed to find out why. Got through in minutes instead of hours on hold.
Washington ESD has gotten much better at processing claims quickly compared to a few years ago. Involuntary termination cases usually move through the system without delays unless there are complications.
Remember that you can appeal if your claim gets denied for any reason, but with a clear layoff due to company restructuring you shouldn't need to worry about that. Just file as soon as possible and be thorough with your information.
I had a friend who used Claimyr when he was having trouble getting updates on his unemployment claim status. He said it was worth every penny because he was able to get answers instead of just wondering what was happening. Sometimes it's worth paying a little to save your sanity, especially when you're already stressed about being unemployed.
Bottom line: file your claim, be honest, and don't assume you'll be denied just because you were fired. Washington ESD sees these cases all the time and they're pretty good at distinguishing between misconduct and performance issues. You've got this!

If you run into issues after filing and need to speak with someone, I had luck using Claimyr when I couldn't get through on the phone. They handle all the calling and waiting, then patch you through when an agent answers. Check out their demo video to see how it works.

•How much does something like that cost? Seems like it might be expensive.

•It's actually pretty reasonable considering how much time it saves. Way better than spending entire days trying to get through on your own.

Bottom line - you can file anytime 24/7, but try to avoid Sunday mornings and Monday mornings when everyone's doing their weekly claims. Late night or mid-week during business hours tends to be fastest.

•Perfect summary! I think I'll file tonight after dinner when things should be quiet.
