The benefit amount calculation can be confusing but remember it's based on your past earnings, so if you were making decent money at the warehouse you should get a reasonable amount. Just file and see what they determine.
If your claim gets stuck in adjudication or you have trouble reaching Washington ESD about your benefit amount, definitely consider using Claimyr. I was skeptical at first but it really works for getting through to an actual person who can help.
Glad to see you're filing right away. That's the smartest move. Even if there are complications later, at least your claim is in the system and the clock is running.
One more thing - if your claim does get approved, make sure you understand the payment schedule. Washington ESD usually pays on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, and it can take a few days to show up in your account depending on your bank.
The ATM-to-cash-to-prepaid-card method mentioned earlier seems like the most reliable workaround. It's extra steps but at least it works.

The main thing is don't panic if you do get laid off. File your claim right away, start your job search, and use all the resources available. The unemployment system isn't perfect but it's there to help.

•Exactly. The system exists for situations like this. Don't be afraid to use it.

One more tip: if you do end up calling Washington ESD for any reason and can't get through, definitely try that Claimyr service people mentioned. I was skeptical at first but it really works and saved me hours of calling.

•Yeah, I'm probably going to try it next time I need to reach ESD. Beats hitting redial for hours.
