The most important thing is to keep filing your weekly claims every week and keep doing your job searches. Even if you're getting close to 26 weeks, don't stop filing until you're officially notified that your benefits are exhausted.
just hit my 26 week limit last month and benefits stopped automatically. Washington ESD sent me a notice explaining that I'd exhausted my benefits for this benefit year. no extensions available right now like others said
my weekly benefit is $445 and I was making about $2800 a month. seems like the calculation is pretty consistent around 50% of your previous income
Don't forget that you'll need to actively search for work to keep getting benefits. The job search requirements are pretty strict now.
Good luck with everything! Remember that getting laid off isn't a reflection on you personally, especially in manufacturing where it's often just economic factors.
Just wanted to add that if you run into any issues with your claim getting stuck in adjudication or anything like that, there are resources to help. That Claimyr service has been mentioned a few times and seems legit for getting through to ESD when you really need to talk to someone.
Thanks everyone for all the suggestions! I'm going to try the Claimyr service first since multiple people said it worked for them, and if that doesn't work I'll try some of the other options. Will update this thread once I get through to Washington ESD.
UPDATE: Used Claimyr this afternoon and got connected to Washington ESD in about 50 minutes! Turns out my claim was flagged because I didn't submit my job search log for one week (I thought it was optional). The agent walked me through submitting it online and released my pending payments. Should see the money in my account within 2 business days. Can't believe I was stressing for weeks over something so simple! Thanks again to everyone who suggested Claimyr - definitely worth it to avoid the phone runaround.
amazing! definitely going to try claimyr for my issue too

The worst part is not knowing what's happening with your claim. I called every day for two weeks before someone finally told me what documents I needed to upload. Communication is their biggest weakness.

•This is why I'm already stressed about the whole process. The uncertainty is killer.

•Just stay on top of it and don't assume no news is good news. Follow up regularly.

Bottom line - if everything goes smoothly, 2-3 weeks. If there are any hiccups, 4-6 weeks. But you'll get all your money eventually so try not to panic. Focus on finding your next job and the unemployment will help bridge the gap.
