If I could give 10 stars I would

If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Really made a difference

Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!

I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!

Thanks everyone for all the detailed information about benefit amounts! This thread has been way more helpful than anything I found on the Washington ESD website. I feel much more confident about filing my claim now.

Glad we could help! Don't hesitate to ask if you run into any issues during the filing process.

Good luck with your claim! Remember to file your weekly claims on time and keep track of your job search activities.

Just want to add that if anyone gets stuck in adjudication or has complicated benefit calculation issues, that Claimyr service mentioned earlier really does work. I used it when I had wage discrepancies and the agent I spoke with was able to explain exactly how they calculated my benefit amount and what documentation I needed to provide. Sometimes you just need to talk to a human being who can look at your specific situation.

0 coins

That's really reassuring to hear. I'll definitely keep that option in mind if I need help navigating the system.

0 coins

Same here. The automated phone system is useless when you have specific questions about your claim calculation.

I believe it's 30 days from the date of the determination letter, but you should verify that timeframe with Washington ESD.

Appeals can take a while to process too, so file as soon as possible if you need to dispute something.

For what it's worth, I called Washington ESD using that Claimyr service someone mentioned earlier and they told me that the 2025 rates are already in effect. If your claim started before the new year, you should have automatically gotten the new rate starting with your first payment in January.

0 coins

Perfect! I'll check my January payments vs December to see if there was an increase I missed.

0 coins

Thanks for following up on that. Saves the rest of us from having to call.

One thing to keep in mind is that even if the maximum benefit increases, your individual amount might not change much if you weren't earning close to the maximum anyway. The increase helps people who were making higher wages before unemployment.

0 coins

That makes sense. I was making about $55k before so probably not near the maximum calculation anyway.

0 coins

Yeah the increases mainly help people who were making $70k+ before losing their jobs.

Last resort if you can't get through - try using that Claimyr thing people mentioned. I was hesitant about paying for something like that but after 2 weeks of getting nowhere on my own, it was worth it to finally talk to a real person at Washington ESD who could explain exactly what was happening with my claim.

I'm definitely considering it if I don't hear anything in the next few days. Seems like several people here have had success with it.

0 coins

Yeah, I wish I had known about it sooner instead of wasting so much time trying to get through the regular phone lines.

0 coins

Hope you get this resolved quickly! Benefit payment control is scary when you first see it but like others have said, it's usually something that can be fixed once you know what Washington ESD needs from you.

Thank you! This thread has been really helpful in understanding what I might be dealing with.

So basically unemployment insurance works like any other insurance - employers pay premiums (taxes) and when something happens (layoffs), the insurance (benefits) kicks in. Makes sense when you think about it that way.

0 coins

That's actually a great analogy. And like other insurance, higher risk (more claims) means higher premiums (tax rates).

0 coins

wow that actually makes it super clear, thanks

0 coins

I'm just glad to know it's not coming out of taxpayer money directly. Was worried about that aspect.

0 coins

Well, employers are taxpayers too, but you're right that it's not funded through general tax revenue like some other programs.
