If I could give 10 stars I would

If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Really made a difference

Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!

I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!

Just remember that unemployment benefits are temporary. Even if you get approved, make sure you have a plan for when the benefits end. The average time to find a job is getting longer.

That's what keeps me up at night. I have 18 weeks left on my claim and haven't gotten any solid leads yet.

0 coins

18 weeks is actually pretty decent time if you're actively searching. Don't panic but do have backup plans.

0 coins

One more thing - some lenders will want to see that you're actively job searching. Keep records of your applications and interviews as proof you're working toward employment.

0 coins

I've been doing that anyway for my weekly claims, so at least I have documentation.

0 coins

Perfect, that shows responsibility and forward thinking to lenders.

0 coins

Just make sure to file your weekly claims on time no matter where you are. Missing those can cause way more problems than moving states.

0 coins

Absolutely! I never miss those. Too important to risk.

0 coins

Smart! Consistency with weekly filings is key to keeping benefits flowing.

Thanks for asking this question OP! I'm in a similar situation and this thread has been really helpful.

0 coins

Glad it helped you too! That's why I love this community - everyone helps each other out.

0 coins

Definitely! So much better than trying to figure this stuff out alone.

Don't forget that even if you can't get regular unemployment, you might be able to get other types of assistance while you're between contracts. There are programs for people in transition that don't require the same employment history.

0 coins

I'll look into that too. Any specific programs you'd recommend checking out?

0 coins

Start with your local DSHS office and see what they have available. Food assistance and medical coverage can help bridge the gap while you're looking for work.

UPDATE: I decided to go ahead and file a claim based on my W-2 wages from earlier this year. Worst case they deny it, but at least I'll know for sure. Will update this thread if I hear anything back from Washington ESD.

0 coins

Smart move. And if you get stuck trying to reach Washington ESD about your claim status, remember that Claimyr can help you get through to an actual person instead of waiting on hold forever.

Thanks! I'll keep that in mind if I run into issues getting information about my claim.

Been there, done that. Having both unemployment and SNAP made a huge difference during my job search. Gave me the breathing room I needed to find something good instead of just taking the first thing available.

0 coins

That's encouraging to hear. How long did it take you to find something?

0 coins

About 4 months, but I was able to be selective and found a job that paid better than my previous one. The benefits really helped me not panic and make bad decisions.

0 coins

Good luck with both applications! The process can seem overwhelming at first but once you get everything set up it becomes routine. You've got this!

0 coins

Thank you everyone for all the helpful advice. This thread has been incredibly useful and made me feel much less anxious about the whole process.

0 coins

You're very welcome! Don't hesitate to ask if you run into any issues with either program.

One last tip - sign up for WorkSourceWA too. It's Washington's job search website and sometimes they have resources and job fairs that can help with your search.

0 coins

Is that required or just recommended?

0 coins

I think it's technically required to register with WorkSource, but even if it wasn't it's a good resource to have.

The most important thing is to be honest and thorough in all your reporting. The state has ways of checking everything and it's not worth the risk to try to game the system.

0 coins

Definitely keeping that in mind. Better to be overly honest than risk having to pay everything back.

0 coins

Exactly. The penalties for fraud are severe, so just be straightforward about everything.
