I found it helpful to print out a copy of my completed application for my records before submitting it. That way I had all the information handy if I needed to reference it later when filing weekly claims or if anyone had questions about my claim.
Good luck with your application! The online system has gotten much better over the years. Just be patient if there are any hiccups - lots of people are using the system so sometimes it runs slow, especially on Sundays when everyone is filing their weekly claims.
One last thing - if you have any questions about your specific situation, don't hesitate to call Washington ESD. Yes, it can be hard to get through, but they can give you personalized guidance based on your work history and circumstances.
Just want to add that if you do end up needing to reach someone at Washington ESD and the regular phone system isn't working, that Claimyr service really does help. Used it myself when my claim got flagged for identity verification. Worth checking out their demo video if you're curious.
Just want to add that you should apply even if you're not sure you qualify. Let Washington ESD make that determination rather than assuming you won't get benefits.
Final reminder - if you get overwhelmed trying to reach Washington ESD, that Claimyr service mentioned earlier really does work. Used it twice now when I couldn't get through on my own.
Just wanted to add that if your claim does go into adjudication for any reason, don't panic. It's pretty common and usually resolves within a few weeks. That's when having a way to actually talk to Washington ESD becomes really valuable.
Lots of things - questions about your job separation, wage discrepancies, eligibility issues. Most get resolved quickly once they review your information.

Remember that you can appeal any decision you disagree with. You have 30 days from the date of the determination to file an appeal. Don't let that deadline pass if you think there's been a mistake.

•How do I file an appeal if I need to?

•There's an appeals section on the ESD website, or you can mail/fax a written request. Make sure to include your Social Security number and explain why you're appealing.

•Thanks for the encouragement. Hopefully I won't even need to use this information but better to be prepared.
