If I could give 10 stars I would

If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Really made a difference

Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!

I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!

I had to use Claimyr twice during my unemployment claim - once to check my benefit calculation and once when I had issues with my job search log. Both times they got me connected to helpful Washington ESD agents who actually knew what they were talking about. Way better than the runaround you usually get.

That's good to hear. I'm already dreading having to call Washington ESD about anything.

0 coins

Yeah, their regular phone system is terrible. The Claimyr service makes it actually manageable to get help when you need it.

Bottom line for OP: at your income level, expect around $950-1000 per week if you qualify for benefits. File your claim ASAP since there's no retroactive payments for delays in filing. The sooner you start the process, the sooner you'll know your exact amount.

Thanks everyone! This has been super helpful. I'm going to file my claim this week and see what happens.

0 coins

Good luck! Remember to keep detailed records of your job search activities from day one. Washington ESD can ask for that information anytime.

For anyone wondering about extensions - I went through this last year and there are NO extensions available right now beyond the standard 26 weeks. Don't count on anything beyond that timeframe. Plan accordingly and use every week wisely.

0 coins

Thanks for the reality check. I'll make sure to intensify my job search efforts early rather than waiting until week 25.

0 coins

Good advice. I made the mistake of thinking I had more time and ended up scrambling at the end.

One more thing to consider - if you're getting close to exhausting your 26 weeks, make sure you understand what happens to your health insurance. COBRA can be expensive but there might be other options to explore before your benefits end.

0 coins

Good point about health insurance. That's often overlooked in the benefit planning process.

0 coins

I hadn't even thought about that aspect. Thanks for bringing it up - I'll need to research my options.

0 coins

One more thing to consider - if you haven't been getting callbacks or interviews, there might be an issue with your resume or interview skills. Some WorkSource offices offer free workshops that could help improve your chances.

0 coins

I've been wondering about that. I get some responses but not many interviews. Maybe my resume needs work.

0 coins

Definitely worth checking out. Sometimes small changes to how you present your experience can make a big difference in response rates.

0 coins

Bottom line - start preparing now for life after benefits. Look into all assistance programs, consider any work opportunities even if they're not ideal, and don't wait until the last minute to explore your options. The transition is always harder than you expect.

Thank you everyone for all the advice. I have a lot to research and think about. This thread has been really helpful even though the situation is scary.

0 coins

Good luck! Remember that this situation is temporary even though it doesn't feel like it right now. Keep pushing forward.

Corporate mergers and acquisitions often result in unemployment spikes as companies eliminate duplicate positions and consolidate operations.

0 coins

M&A unemployment is tricky because it often affects higher-skilled workers who may not be familiar with the Washington ESD system.

0 coins

Plus merger-related layoffs can happen months or even years after the initial announcement, making them harder to predict.

0 coins

Based on historical data, I'd say economic recessions, major industry disruptions, and financial market crashes tend to produce the highest unemployment spikes. The key factor seems to be how quickly the job losses happen and how many sectors are affected simultaneously.

0 coins

Just remember that during any major spike, getting through to Washington ESD becomes nearly impossible. Having backup plans like Claimyr can save you a lot of frustration when you actually need to file.

0 coins

Exactly - it's better to know your options before you need them. The Claimyr demo video really shows how much time it can save you during those high-volume periods.

0 coins

One more thing - if you get a part-time job while on unemployment, you can usually still get partial benefits. Don't let the fear of losing benefits stop you from taking temporary work. Washington ESD has a calculator that shows how working affects your benefits.

0 coins

That's really good to know! I was worried about taking any work while on unemployment.

0 coins

Yeah it's actually encouraged. Any income helps and you might still qualify for some benefits depending on how much you earn.

0 coins

Good luck with everything! Filing for unemployment feels overwhelming at first but you'll get through it. Just take it one step at a time and don't be afraid to ask for help when you need it.

Thank you so much everyone! I feel a lot more confident about the process now. Going to file my claim right after I gather up my employment info.

You've got this! Remember to file your weekly claims every week and keep looking for work. The system works if you follow the rules.
