If I could give 10 stars I would

If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Really made a difference

Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!

I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!

Thanks for confirming it works! I'm definitely considering it if I can't get through tomorrow morning. At this point, getting this fixed is worth the cost to me.

Just to close the loop on your question - yes, a properly filed Combined Wage Claim would potentially give you more weeks if your Oregon wages are substantial enough to impact your total. The good news is that if ESD approves your CWC request, they'll recalculate your claim and potentially backdate the adjustment, so you shouldn't lose any benefits you're entitled to. One more tip: when you get through to ESD, ask specifically for an agent who handles Combined Wage Claims. Not all agents are familiar with the process, and you want someone who knows exactly what to do.

Thank you for this additional information! I'll definitely ask for someone who specializes in Combined Wage Claims. I'm feeling so much more informed now thanks to everyone's help. I'll update here once I get through to ESD and hear what they say about my situation.

UPDATE: Finally got this resolved! Used that Claimyr service someone mentioned below and actually got through to ESD in about 30 minutes! The agent confirmed exactly what you all said - the system had incorrectly flagged my standby claim as medical standby instead of employer-requested standby. She fixed it immediately and told me my claim should process normally now. Thanks everyone for the help and advice! For anyone else dealing with this issue, definitely worth paying to get through rather than waiting weeks for them to respond to messages.

Glad you got it resolved! Just a quick follow-up tip: make sure you still complete your weekly claims while waiting for this to process. Even though it should be approved now, it's important to have those weekly claims on file so there's no gap in your benefit payments.

lol this happens all the time. ESD system is a complete joke. glad u got it fixed but get ready for more random bs every week

One more important thing about OAH hearings - be sure to attend your hearing no matter what! If you miss it, you'll almost certainly lose your appeal by default. If something comes up and you absolutely can't make it, contact OAH immediately to request a postponement, but know that those are not automatically granted. Also, during the hearing, only speak when the judge asks you questions. Don't interrupt your former employer or the judge. You'll get your chance to present your side. And stick to the facts rather than emotional arguments - the judge is only concerned with whether your situation meets the legal standard for good cause to quit.

That's really good advice, thank you. I'll make sure to be professional and stick to the facts. I'm nervous about the hearing but trying to prepare as much as possible.

I forgot to mention - make sure you continue filing your weekly claims while waiting for your appeal hearing! Even though you're disqualified right now, if you win your appeal, they'll only pay you for weeks that you properly certified. Lots of people make this mistake and miss out on benefits they would have been entitled to after winning their appeal.

Oh wow, I didn't realize that! I thought since I was denied I couldn't file weekly claims. I'll make sure to start doing that right away. Thanks for the heads up!

btw make sure ur doing ur job search activities EXACTLY right!!! i got denied because i didnt put phone numbers for 2 applications i submitted online. so stupid. had to appeal and it took FOREVER

0 coins

This is an important point. The job search documentation requirements are very specific. For online applications where you don't have contact information, you should include the website URL, the company name, and any confirmation number or email you received. If you're just putting "applied online" without these details, they might disqualify you.

UPDATE: Just wanted to let everyone know that I was finally able to reach someone at ESD this morning (called right at 8am and only waited about 30 minutes). Turns out there was a discrepancy between my reported work history and what my employer reported. The agent was able to verify my information and override the hold on my claim. She said I should see approval within 48 hours! Thanks everyone for your help and suggestions.

That's great news! This is exactly why getting through to an actual person makes such a huge difference. Glad you got it resolved!

Perfect example of how something that takes weeks to resolve automatically can be fixed in minutes with human intervention. Glad you got through!

I was in virtually the same boat last year! The key for me was getting through to an actual ESD person. After I finally reached someone (took forever), they were able to see that my claim was just sitting there waiting for an adjudicator assignment. The agent escalated it and I got my determination within a week after that. Keep trying to reach a human!

THIS. The system is designed to make you wait but sometimes just talking to a human can move things along. Problem is GETTING to a human at ESD is like winning the lottery 🙄

UPDATE: I finally got through to ESD! Used that Claimyr service mentioned above and was connected to an agent within an hour. The agent confirmed my suspicion - they were waiting for a response from Job B about my separation. The agent noted that my uploaded emails showed good evidence of constructive discharge and flagged my case for expedited review. Should hear something within a week! Thank you all for the advice and support during this stressful time.
