If I could give 10 stars I would

If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Really made a difference

Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!

I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!

theres another trick i learned. when u get the "all lines are busy" message, dont hang up right away. wait about 30 seconds sometimes it will actually put u in the queue anyway. worked for me twice now. the system is weird like that lol

UPDATE: I got in!!! Combination of several suggestions here worked. I searched my old emails and found which SAW ID was the right one. Then I used the separate SAW help desk number that someone suggested, and got through after only 20 minutes on hold. They reset my password and verified my account. The agent also gave me a direct number to the ESD technical support team (not the main claims line) which I'm happy to share: (360) 507-9195. Thanks everyone for your help! Now I can finally start my claim process.

My bro-in-law works at ESD (not in claims dept tho). He says they're SUPER backed up right now due to staff shortages and some new computer system they're implementing. Said wait times on everything are like 30% longer than normal. Just a heads up that you might need extra patience right now.

GREAT they change computers while people cant pay rent. typical government nonsense

I hear ya. Not trying to make excuses for them, just sharing what I heard. The timing sucks.

btw one more thing i just remembered - if you submitted any documents with your waiver request you should double check and make sure they got uploaded correctly. my friend had her waiver denied because she thought shed uploaded her bank statements but they never actually went through the system for some reason

That's a good tip! I'm going to log in now and verify everything is there. Hadn't even thought of checking that.

I'm in almost the exact same situation but my adjudication is still going on from December. Been waiting 6 weeks now with no update! How did you get your adjudication resolved so quickly? Did you do anything special? I'm desperate at this point.

In my case, I called repeatedly and finally got through to someone who could help. I think what made a difference was that I had all my employment documents already uploaded to my account - termination letter, final paystub, everything they might ask for. When I finally spoke to someone, they were able to review everything on the spot. Hope your situation gets resolved soon!

Just to add more clarity, here's how it works officially: 1. Your 1099-G for 2024 will only include payments you physically received between Jan 1 - Dec 31, 2024 2. Your 1099-G for 2025 will include all payments received between Jan 1 - Dec 31, 2025 (including your lump sum) 3. ESD should mail your 1099-G forms by January 31st following each tax year 4. You can also access your 1099-G forms electronically through your ESD account Don't forget that you can choose to have federal taxes withheld from future unemployment payments (10%) which might help you avoid owing a large sum at tax time.

Thanks for the additional info! I did opt for the 10% withholding, but I'm still concerned it might not be enough. Do most people find the 10% withholding covers their tax liability on unemployment income or should I be setting aside more?

The 10% withholding is often not enough, especially if you have other income sources during the year. Most financial advisors recommend setting aside an additional 5-10% of your benefits for potential tax obligations, depending on your total annual income and tax bracket. Better to have extra saved than come up short!

Forgot to mention - make sure you respond to EVERYTHING they send you, even if it seems repetitive. I missed one stupid form and they used that against me in the hearing saying I was 'non-responsive' which is total BS.

This is good advice. Document everything, including when you send in forms. I recommend using certified mail or fax with confirmation for important documents, and keep copies of everything.

my neighbor had an adjudication for almost the same thing and he showed up with all his paperwork and the judge basically dismissed the case right there because ESD made such an obvious error. sometimes these are just system glitches that a human can fix right away.

That's encouraging to hear! I'm hoping for a similar outcome since I have clear documentation showing their mistake.

Yes, I eventually got it approved after the appeal, but only because I got a pro bono attorney through the Unemployment Law Project to help me. The appeal hearing was intimidating - they had an ESD representative arguing against me! If you can, try to get legal help with this. The whole process is stressful and unnecessarily complicated.

The Unemployment Law Project is an excellent resource! I should have mentioned them earlier. They provide free legal assistance to people with unemployment issues, including overpayment waivers. Definitely worth contacting them for help with your waiver request - they know exactly what ESD is looking for and how to present your case effectively.
