Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

If anyone needs to actually talk to Washington ESD about their claim status, I can't recommend Claimyr enough. Saved me so much time and frustration trying to get through on my own.
I bookmarked their website just in case. Hopefully I won't need it but good to have as backup!
Final advice: be patient with the progress status, keep filing weekly claims, maintain your job search activities, and don't hesitate to reach out for help if it takes longer than expected. The system works, it just takes time.

If you're filing soon, make sure you have all your employment info ready - dates, wages, reason for separation, etc. The more accurate info you provide upfront, the less likely your claim will get delayed.

The hardest part for me was the waiting. Even when everything goes smoothly, it takes a few weeks to get your first payment. Make sure you have some savings to cover expenses during that initial period.

anyone else notice their deposit timing got more consistent after they updated the Washington ESD computer systems? used to be all over the place but now mine hits at almost exactly 2:15am every week
Yes! Mine used to be anywhere from midnight to 8am but now it's consistently around 3am.
The system updates definitely helped with consistency. Still not perfect but much better than before.
Bottom line for OP: if your payment shows as 'paid' in your Washington ESD account, expect to see the money in your bank account within 24-48 hours, usually overnight. The exact time depends on your bank but early morning (12am-6am) is most common. Don't stress too much if it's a few hours later than expected.

Keep in mind that if you do qualify for a new claim, you'll have to go through the whole process again including job search requirements and waiting periods. It's not just an automatic extension of your current claim.

Bottom line is that extended benefits are rare and only available during high unemployment periods. Your best bet is to either qualify for a new regular claim or look into other assistance programs while you continue job searching. Don't count on extended benefits being available.
