Man this whole thread is making me anxious about my own claim. Been waiting 4 weeks for adjudication on a misconduct determination and still nothing. How do you guys stay patient with this system?
Yeah I've been keeping up with weekly claims and job searches. Just nerve wracking not knowing if I'll ever see any money.
If you need updates on your claim status, that's another situation where Claimyr helped me get actual answers from ESD instead of just checking the website constantly.
Final update: Successfully filed my claim online! Took about 30 minutes to complete. Now the waiting game begins for adjudication. Thanks again everyone for pushing me to file immediately instead of waiting around.
Great thread! I learned something new today about employer experience ratings and trust fund mechanics.
I went through this exact situation last year. Retail hours got cut from 30 to 15 hours per week. I was able to get partial unemployment for about 4 months until I found a better job. The extra money really helped cover the gap.
Make sure when you apply that you answer all the questions accurately, especially about why your hours were reduced. Washington ESD will verify with your employer so don't try to embellish or anything.
Just went through this whole thread and I'm having the exact same problem. Approved 10 days ago, no payment yet. Going to try calling my bank first then look into that Claimyr service if needed.
Final update: Used Claimyr this morning and got through to Washington ESD within an hour. There was indeed a technical issue with direct deposits from my approval date. Agent manually processed my payment and I should receive it tomorrow. Thanks everyone for the help, especially whoever mentioned Claimyr first!

Bottom line - unemployment is when you CAN work but don't have a job. Disability is when you CAN'T work due to medical reasons. Workers comp is when you can't work due to a work-related injury. Three different things for three different situations.

•Glad this got cleared up. The benefit system is confusing enough without mixing up which program is which.
