If I could give 10 stars I would

If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Really made a difference

Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!

I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!

The maximum benefit in Washington is pretty decent compared to other states, but most people don't qualify for the full amount. Your $52k salary should put you in a reasonable range though - probably $350-450 per week if I had to guess.

That would actually work for covering my basic expenses while job hunting. Thanks for the estimate!

No problem! Just remember it's temporary so use the time wisely for job searching and maybe skill building if possible.

Last thing - make sure you understand the able and available requirements. You have to be ready to work and actively seeking employment. Can't be too picky about jobs or they might question your eligibility.

You can look for management roles but also need to apply to other positions you're qualified for. They want to see you're genuinely trying to get back to work, not just waiting for the perfect job.

0 coins

That's good advice. Washington ESD does review your job search activities and they want to see variety in the types of positions you're applying for.

For anyone else having this issue, you can also visit a WorkSource office in person if you can't get through by phone. They can help you with PIN issues and other account problems.

0 coins

Good suggestion but not all WorkSource offices handle unemployment issues. Call first to make sure they can help with PIN problems.

0 coins

The WorkSource in my area doesn't do unemployment stuff anymore. They told me I had to call Washington ESD directly.

Don't forget that you have to file your weekly claims even if you're having PIN issues. You can file them late but you need to do it as soon as you get your PIN to avoid any payment delays.

0 coins

You have to file within 4 weeks of the week you're claiming. After that you might lose those benefits permanently.

0 coins

Actually I think you can still file late claims but you have to provide a good reason. PIN issues would definitely qualify as good cause.

OP - once you know your weekly benefit amount, remember that's the maximum you can get. If you have any part-time work or other income, your actual payment will be less. Also Washington ESD requires a one-week waiting period for new claims.

0 coins

Correct. The first week you file is your waiting week - you have to complete it but you don't get paid for that week. Payments start from the second week.

0 coins

That waiting week rule is such BS. People need money immediately when they lose their jobs, not after two weeks of bureaucracy.

0 coins

Make sure to file your claim as soon as possible after your last day of work. Washington ESD can only pay benefits from the date you file, not retroactively to when you actually became unemployed.

0 coins

Good advice. I was planning to file this weekend since I just got laid off yesterday.

0 coins

Perfect timing then. The sooner you file, the sooner your claim can be processed and approved.

0 coins

Just remember to keep your job search logs even after you close the claim. Washington ESD can audit claims up to 5 years later and they'll want to see that documentation.

0 coins

5 years?? That seems excessive but good to know.

0 coins

Yeah it's in the fine print. Better safe than sorry with overpayment notices.

Congrats on the new job OP! The final weekly claim thing worked perfectly for me when I went back to work. No issues at all.

0 coins

Thanks! Feeling much more confident about doing this right now.

This whole thread is making me nervous about my own claim that just got approved yesterday! Sounds like 2-3 days is normal though.

0 coins

Yeah don't worry, seems like everyone says it takes a few days. I'm probably just being impatient.

0 coins

The waiting is definitely the hardest part when you're already stressed about money

I used Claimyr twice last year when I had payment issues and they were super helpful both times. Worth trying if you end up needing to call Washington ESD about this.

Thanks, I'll definitely keep that option in mind if I need to call
