If I could give 10 stars I would

If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Really made a difference

Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!

I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!

Question - if they get approved for benefits initially but I appeal and win, do I get credit back on my account for those charges?

0 coins

Yes, if Washington ESD reverses the decision after your appeal, those benefit charges should be removed from your experience rating account. It's like the claim never happened for tax calculation purposes.

0 coins

Good to know. Makes it worth fighting if you have a solid case.

0 coins

Just want to add that if you're not sure about the process, Washington ESD has employer resources on their website that explain everything. Better to understand your rights and responsibilities upfront than scramble after someone files a claim.

0 coins

Exactly. Be proactive and thorough. The worst thing you can do is ignore Washington ESD's requests for information.

And remember, if you need to actually talk to someone at Washington ESD about your specific situation, services like Claimyr can save you hours of hold time. Sometimes a quick conversation can clear up confusion about the process.

washington unemployment 2023 was 4.2% average but ranged from 3.9% to 4.8% depending on the month. tech layoffs in first half of year then recovery in second half. but esd processing is still terrible regardless

Thanks for the detailed breakdown. Confirms this is a Washington ESD problem, not an unemployment rate problem.

0 coins

The frustrating thing about 2023 was that even with relatively normal unemployment rates, Washington ESD somehow got worse at customer service. I spent literally hundreds of hours trying to reach someone about my claim. Finally had to use one of those callback services to get through.

0 coins

Which callback service did you use? I'm at my wit's end here.

I used Claimyr after seeing it mentioned in another forum. Actually worked - got through to a Washington ESD agent within an hour instead of the weeks I'd been trying.

I moved here from California and filed an interstate claim. It took 3 weeks but eventually went through. Just be patient with the process.

0 coins

That's encouraging! Did you have to provide any additional documentation for the out-of-state wages?

0 coins

Not really, Washington ESD handled most of the verification with California automatically. I just had to wait for them to process it.

Thanks for all the info in this thread! I learned a lot about the work requirements. Going to apply for my claim this week.

0 coins

Good luck! Make sure to apply as soon as possible after your last day of work to avoid any delays.

0 coins

Will do! This thread was super helpful.

One more thing - if you quit your job voluntarily, the work history requirements are the same but you might not qualify for benefits regardless. You generally need to be laid off or terminated through no fault of your own.

0 coins

There are some exceptions for 'good cause' reasons but you'd need to prove it. That usually involves an adjudication process.

0 coins

Hopefully I won't need to worry about that, but good to know the rules are different for voluntary quits.

0 coins

Thanks everyone for all the info. This has been way more helpful than the Washington ESD website FAQ section.

0 coins

Agree, their website is confusing. Real people explaining it makes so much more sense.

0 coins

Same here. Feel much more confident about my situation now.

If you do get approved, make sure you understand the difference between your weekly benefit amount and your maximum benefit amount. The weekly amount is what you get each week, but there's a total maximum you can receive during your benefit year.

0 coins

How do they calculate those amounts? Is it based on what I was earning?

0 coins

Yes, it's based on your wages during the base period. The weekly amount is roughly half of your average weekly wage, up to the state maximum.

Just wanted to follow up - I mentioned Claimyr earlier and I see others have had good experiences too. If you do run into any issues with your claim or need to speak with Washington ESD about your specific situation, it's definitely worth considering. Much better than spending hours on hold or getting disconnected.

0 coins

Thanks for the follow-up! I'll keep that in mind if I run into any problems with my application.

I second this recommendation. Used them when my claim got complicated and it was so worth it to actually talk to a real person at Washington ESD.
