If I could give 10 stars I would

If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Really made a difference

Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!

I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!

I know this all sounds overwhelming, but once you get through the initial filing, the weekly claims become routine. Just make sure you never miss a week, even if you're sick or on vacation. You can't go back and file for missed weeks.

You can file from anywhere as long as you have internet access. The website works on phones too, though it's easier on a computer.

I've filed my weekly claims from hotel rooms, airports, you name it. Just don't forget to do it.

Last piece of advice - be completely honest on your application and weekly claims. It's better to ask questions about something you're unsure about than to guess wrong and face fraud charges later. Washington ESD cross-references your information with multiple databases.

Good luck! The first few weeks are always the most stressful, but it gets easier once you understand the routine.

For what it's worth, I'm 66 and have been collecting both for almost a year. Never had any issues or conflicts between the two programs. They really are completely separate systems.

Thanks for sharing! All these positive experiences are really reassuring.

Happy to help. Good luck with your application!

Just want to add that you should also look into whether you qualify for any other programs like SNAP or utility assistance while you're between jobs. Every bit of help makes a difference at our age.

Good suggestion! I hadn't thought about other assistance programs.

211 is a great resource - just dial 2-1-1 and they can connect you with local assistance programs.

The hardest part about unemployment isn't qualifying - it's dealing with all the bureaucracy and paperwork. But once you get approved and into the routine of filing weekly claims, it's not too bad.

That's what I keep hearing. The initial application seems like the biggest hurdle.

0 coins

Exactly. Just take your time with the application and answer everything as accurately as possible. Don't rush through it.

Good luck to everyone dealing with this stuff. Being unemployed is stressful enough without having to navigate all these requirements and forms. Hope everyone gets approved quickly!

That's what these forums are for - helping each other out with this confusing stuff. Pay it forward when you can!

Also remember that temp work counts too! If you take temporary assignments, you need to report those earnings even if the assignment only lasts a few days.

Makes sense. Better to over-report than get in trouble later.

The bottom line is you can work part-time and still collect some unemployment benefits in Washington, but you have to report everything honestly. Once you're working full-time (usually 30+ hours) or earning more than your weekly benefit amount, that's when you stop filing claims.

glad we could help! good luck with the job interviews

Bottom line: plan for 26 weeks maximum, but hope you find something sooner. Keep good records, follow all the requirements, and don't wait until the last minute to start thinking about what's next if benefits run out.
