If I could give 10 stars I would

If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Really made a difference

Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!

I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!

One more Claimyr success story - used it yesterday to ask about a missing payment from two weeks ago. Turns out there was a system glitch and they reprocessed it while I was on the call. Would have taken forever to figure that out on my own.

Okay I'm convinced. Going to try it next time I have an issue instead of wasting hours on hold.

Smart move. The video demo really shows how much easier it is than the regular phone system.

Bottom line for anyone just starting: file your weekly claim by Sunday night, expect deposit Wednesday-Friday depending on your bank, and don't stress if the first payment takes longer. After a few weeks you'll know your bank's exact timing.

agreed, wish i had found this info when i first started claiming

thanks everyone for all the tips!

Just remember that employers are looking for someone who can do the job, not someone with a perfect employment history. Focus on your skills, experience, and what you can bring to their company.

0 coins

Thanks for the reminder. I need to focus more on selling my skills rather than worrying about the gap.

0 coins

Exactly! The gap is just one small part of your overall story.

0 coins

Good luck with your interviews! Sounds like you've been doing everything right during your job search. Just remember to present it confidently and you'll be fine.

0 coins

Thank you! This thread has been really helpful. I feel much more prepared now.

You've got this! The right employer will appreciate your thorough approach to finding the right fit.

One thing nobody mentioned - if you get approved for UI, you'll need to report any severance pay or vacation payout you receive. That can affect your benefit timing. Just something to keep in mind.

0 coins

I don't think I'll get any severance since I'm being fired, but good to know about vacation pay.

0 coins

Yeah, they have to pay out accrued vacation in Washington, so just make sure to report it when you file your weekly claims.

0 coins

Bottom line - file your claim as soon as you're terminated, be completely honest about what happened, keep all your documentation, and don't panic if it goes to adjudication. Most non-misconduct cases get approved eventually, it just takes time.

0 coins

Thanks everyone for all the advice. Feeling a lot less panicked about this whole situation now. Will definitely file right away if/when it happens.

0 coins

Good luck! The system can be frustrating but it does work most of the time for legitimate claims.

The whole process is actually pretty simple once you get started. File your initial claim online, wait for approval, then file weekly claims every week while looking for work. The hardest part is usually just the waiting and dealing with any issues that come up.

0 coins

Thanks everyone! This has been incredibly helpful. I feel much more confident about filing my claim now.

0 coins

Good luck! The system works despite all the complaints. Just be patient and persistent if you run into any snags.

0 coins

Last bit of advice - keep copies of everything! Screenshot your weekly claims before submitting, save confirmation numbers, and document all your job search activities. If there are ever any issues, having good records will save you a lot of headaches.

0 coins

Will do! I'm pretty organized so I'll set up a folder to keep track of everything.

0 coins

Smart approach! Organization definitely helps when dealing with any government benefits program.

One last resource - Washington ESD has a handbook online that explains all the good cause reasons in detail. Worth reading before you make your decision.

0 coins

I'll definitely check that out. Want to make sure I understand everything before I take the leap.

0 coins

And if you do need to contact Washington ESD directly about your situation, remember that Claimyr option. Sometimes talking to an actual person can clarify things that reading online can't.

0 coins

I'll keep that in mind. Might be worth it to get professional guidance on my specific case.
