One more Claimyr success story - used it yesterday to ask about a missing payment from two weeks ago. Turns out there was a system glitch and they reprocessed it while I was on the call. Would have taken forever to figure that out on my own.
Bottom line for anyone just starting: file your weekly claim by Sunday night, expect deposit Wednesday-Friday depending on your bank, and don't stress if the first payment takes longer. After a few weeks you'll know your bank's exact timing.
Just remember that employers are looking for someone who can do the job, not someone with a perfect employment history. Focus on your skills, experience, and what you can bring to their company.
Good luck with your interviews! Sounds like you've been doing everything right during your job search. Just remember to present it confidently and you'll be fine.
One more thing - if you forget to file your weekly claim, you might be able to file it late but you'll need to call Washington ESD to explain why. Better to just set that reminder and not risk it.
The whole process gets easier once you've done it a few times. First couple weeks I was paranoid about every question, now it takes me like 5 minutes to complete my weekly certification.
I work in HR and deal with unemployment claims regularly. For a standard layoff situation like yours, regular unemployment insurance through Washington ESD is the correct program. Don't let all the different terms confuse you.
Bottom line: if you're unemployed through no fault of your own and looking for work, apply for regular unemployment insurance. That's the main program and covers most people's situations.

The whole process is actually pretty simple once you get started. File your initial claim online, wait for approval, then file weekly claims every week while looking for work. The hardest part is usually just the waiting and dealing with any issues that come up.

Last bit of advice - keep copies of everything! Screenshot your weekly claims before submitting, save confirmation numbers, and document all your job search activities. If there are ever any issues, having good records will save you a lot of headaches.
