When will NY unemployment show my benefit rate? Stuck at $182 for two weeks

I've been through this exact situation last month. The system starts everyone at the minimum rate while they verify your wages. Mine took 18 days to update to my correct amount. As long as you provided accurate employer information when you filed, they should automatically update it. Keep certifying weekly in the meantime! The good news is that when they do update it, you'll get back pay for the difference between $182 and your actual rate for any weeks you've already certified.

The $182 is just the minimum base rate while they're processing everything. Don't worry too much yet! They have to verify your wages with all your employers from your base period (usually the first 4 of the last 5 completed calendar quarters). Sometimes employers are slow responding to NYSDOL's verification requests, which is what causes these delays. If it goes beyond 3 weeks, THEN you might want to follow up. But this is completely normal at the 2-week mark.

Speaking from experience, getting through to NYSDOL on the phone is basically impossible unless you have hours to waste calling and hanging up. Be careful providing ANY of your personal info to third party services!!!! The NYSDOL system is TERRIBLE but at least it's official. These delays are BY DESIGN to save the state money. If you wait, it will eventually update, but you need to KEEP CERTIFYING every week while you wait!!!!

My benefit rate took exactly 17 days to update from the minimum to my actual amount. Does anyone know what formula they use to calculate the weekly benefit? I got $421 but my coworker who I think made about the same as me got $458.
