NYSDOL Unemployment: No Payments, Can't Reach Anyone - Help!
Hey everyone, I'm in a bit of a pickle here. I've been waiting on my unemployment claim for what feels like forever and haven't received any payments yet. I've tried calling the unemployment office a bunch of times, but it's like trying to win the lottery just to get through. Anyone else in the same boat or have any advice on how to actually get an update on my claim? I'm starting to feel like I'm shouting into the void here.

Anyone else feel like we're all just rats in a maze, trying to get our cheese? 🐀🧀 This whole system is a joke.

At least rats eventually get their cheese. We're just getting the runaround 😤

have you tried faxing them? I know it sounds like we're back in the 90s, but I actually got a response that way lol

Hey OP, have you heard about Claimyr? It's a service that helps you get in touch with someone at the unemployment office faster. They use a calling tool that navigates the phone menu and connects you with a live agent. It's not free, costs about $20, but many find it worthwhile to avoid the frustration of endless calls. However, it's important to weigh the cost against your current situation. Remember, you're not alone, and many people have faced similar challenges with the unemployment system. Keep exploring different methods and resources, and reach out to your state representatives if needed. Additionally, consider joining online communities or groups where others might share their successful strategies. These platforms can also provide much-needed emotional support during this tough time. Best of luck!

I swear, the unemployment system is designed to make us give up. It's a joke. I've been waiting for 3 months now with radio silence. This country is broken 🤡

Preach! 🙌 It's like they think we're all trying to scam the system or something. We just want what we're owed!

I also heard contacting the state labor board can sometimes help when you're stuck.

Guys, I found a method that actually works to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Check out this video: https://youtu.be/Rdqa1gKtxuE

Sounds too good to be true. Is this legit or some kind of scam?

$20 just to talk to someone? That's ridiculous. The system is so broken 😤

I get it, but think about how much time and stress it saves. For me, it was worth every penny.

Claimyr might be beneficial if you're really stuck, but it's always good to weigh the cost against the potential benefit.

I heard they're updating the system next month. Might be worth waiting it out if you can. Supposedly it'll make everything faster.

Ugh, I feel your pain. I was in the same situation a few months ago. It's like they purposely make it impossible to reach anyone. Have you tried calling right when they open? That sometimes worked for me.

Yeah, I've tried that. Even set an alarm for 5 minutes before they open. Still no luck 😭 It's like everyone else had the same idea

Pro tip: try calling on Wednesdays. For some reason, it seems less busy then. Good luck!

You might also try using multiple phones if you have them available. It increases your chances of getting through.

Listen up, I've been through this rodeo before and I've got some tips that might help: 1. Document everything. Every call, every letter, every email. You never know when you'll need it. 2. Be persistent. I know it sucks, but keep calling. Try different times of the day. 3. Use their online portal if they have one. Sometimes you can get updates there. 4. If all else fails, contact your state representative or senator. They often have staff dedicated to helping with these issues. 5. Join Facebook groups or forums for unemployment in your state. Sometimes people share insider tips or when the best times to call are. Remember, you're not alone in this. The system is overwhelmed, but don't give up. You'll get through eventually!
