Applied for NY unemployment, verified ID.me, still no payments. Help!
Hey everyone, I'm really frustrated. I applied for unemployment on March 1st and did everything they asked, including the ID.me verification. But I still haven't received any payments. When I called unemployment, they told me I need to do the ID.me account, which I already did! They said two weeks ago that I should get my money in one or two weeks, but my bank account is still empty. Has anyone else dealt with this? Does anyone have the ID.me phone number? I'm at my wits end here.

Ugh, classic NY unemployment nonsense. 🙄 I swear they make it impossible on purpose. Have you tried calling them again? Sometimes you get different answers depending on who you talk to.

I've called like 5 times already! 😫 It's so frustrating. Every time I call, I get put on hold forever and then they just tell me to wait. I'm running out of patience here.

Pro tip: call right when they open. You might have better luck getting through and talking to someone who knows whats going on.

I found a method to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/Rdqa1gKtxuE

Sounds too good to be true. How does it actually work? Is it legit?

I get the skepticism, but it's legit. It's basically a robot that does the calling and waiting for you. Saved me hours of frustration. Check out their website claimyr.com if you want more info.

20 bucks to actually talk to someone? Might be worth it at this point lol

The ID.me thing is such a headache. I had issues with it too. Have you tried logging into your ID.me account separately to make sure everything is verified on their end? Sometimes the info doesn't transfer properly to unemployment.

Here's the ID.me support number: 866-377-3432. Good luck getting through tho, their wait times are ridiculous too 🙄

This is why I cant stand ny unemployment. Always some bs reason why they cant pay you. Meanwhile bills piling up and they dont care. System is broken af

I've been through this exact situation, and I feel your pain. Here's what worked for me: 1. Double-check your ID.me account. Make sure all info is up to date and matches your unemployment application exactly. 2. Call unemployment again (I know, it sucks). Ask them to verify on their end that your ID.me verification went through. Sometimes it doesn't sync properly. 3. If they say it's not showing up, ask them to manually note in your file that you've completed ID.me verification. 4. Request a supervisor if the regular agent can't help. Be polite but firm. 5. If all else fails, contact your local state representative. They can sometimes expedite things. 6. As a last resort, consider using claimyr.com. It costs $20, but it got me through to an agent when nothing else worked. Hang in there! It's a frustrating process, but keep at it. You'll get your money eventually.

I'm in the same boat, friend. Been waiting for 2 months now. This system is a joke. Hang in there 💪
