Verified identity weeks ago, still no UI payments. Can't reach anyone at unemployment office. Help!

Hey everyone, I'm at my wits end here. I verified my identity weeks ago but still haven't received any unemployment payments. I've been calling non-stop trying to get through to someone but it's impossible. Has anyone else dealt with this? Any advice on how to actually reach a human being at the unemployment office?

I found a way to solve unemployment payment delays, watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aDI5uDo660A

Ugh, I feel your pain. I was in the same boat last month. It's like they're purposely making it hard to get help. Have you tried calling right when they open? That worked for me after like a million tries.

Yeah, I've tried that. No luck. It's either busy signals or getting disconnected after being on hold forever. ๐Ÿ˜ซ

Pro tip: call at 7:55am, five minutes before they open. Sometimes you can get in the queue early!

I found a method to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/Rdqa1gKtxuE

Sounds too good to be true. Is this legit? Anyone else tried it?

$20 just to talk to someone? That's ridiculous. The system is so broken ๐Ÿคก

I know it sounds sketchy, but I swear it worked for me. After weeks of trying, I was desperate enough to try anything. It's not ideal to pay, but it saved me hours of frustration.

Can you give more details about how it works? Do they just keep redialing for you?

Basically, yeah. Their system navigates the phone tree and stays on hold. When a real person picks up, it calls your phone. Saved me from hours of hold music lol

Here's what worked for me: 1. Email them every day with your claim info 2. Contact your local state representative 3. Be persistent on social media 4. Document EVERYTHING It took about 3 weeks, but I finally got through and got my payments. Don't give up!

Thank you so much for the detailed advice! I'll definitely try contacting my rep. Did you just email or call their office?

I emailed first, then followed up with a call after a few days. They were surprisingly helpful!

This is why we need to overhaul the entire unemployment system. It's a joke that people have to jump through so many hoops just to get the benefits they're entitled to. ๐Ÿ˜ค

Preach! ๐Ÿ™Œ The whole thing is held together with duct tape and prayers at this point.

For real. My grandpa could design a better system with an abacus and a rotary phone ๐Ÿ’€

Hey OP, quick question - when you say you verified your identity, did you use ID.me? Sometimes there's a lag between their system and the unemployment office. Might be worth checking if the verification actually went through on both ends.

Yeah, I used ID.me. That's a good point though, I'll try to confirm if it went through properly. Thanks!

Not to be that guy, but have you checked your spam folder? I know someone who found their approval email buried in there after weeks of waiting.

Haha, yes I've checked everywhere. Good suggestion tho!
