Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. THEY KNOW EVERYTHING!!! The government tracks every penny you make. I got flagged for working ONE DAY and they demanded proof I reported it. The whole system is designed to catch you making mistakes so they can take your benefits away.
While NYS Department of Labor does have extensive reporting systems, the goal isn't to trap people. If you report work honestly on your weekly claims, you're protected. The problems arise when people try to hide income or don't understand the reporting requirements.

THE WHOLE SYSTEM IS DESIGNED TO CONFUSE PEOPLE!! They make the benefit calculation so complicated on purpose. I've been dealing with unemployment for years and they ALWAYS find ways to pay you less than you expect. Don't trust their estimates until you see actual payments in your account.

The determination process is so frustrating! They have 30 days to make a decision but often take longer. In your case, since it's been 2.5 weeks, you're still within the normal timeframe unfortunately. The fact that you don't see any document requests is actually a good sign - means they probably have everything they need and are just processing. Keep filing those weekly claims no matter what!
same boat here, filed 3 weeks ago and still pending determination. this system is broken, takes forever to get help and even longer to get answers. meanwhile rent is due and bills keep coming
Hang in there, I know it's stressful but most claims do get approved eventually. Just keep documenting everything and filing weekly.

Whatever you do, don't count on getting the maximum amount. The system is designed to lowball everyone. I made $65k and only got $380/week. It's better than nothing but definitely not enough to maintain your lifestyle while job hunting.
Just to add - you can collect for up to 26 weeks in NY, but you have to meet the work search requirements every week. Keep good records of your job applications because they do audit those sometimes.

It's 3 work search activities per week, but they can be job applications, networking events, or even online training courses. Just document everything.

Ugh the NYS Department of Labor system is so messed up. They disqualify people left and right and then make it impossible to fix their mistakes. Hope you can get this resolved but honestly don't get your hopes up too high.
