Nervous about upcoming job interview - need advice and tips!

Hey everyone, I've got an interview coming up and I'm feeling pretty nervous. Anyone have any tips or advice on how to prepare? What kind of questions should I expect? It's been a while since I've done one of these and I want to make sure I'm ready.

Congrats on landing the interview! Here are some tips that have helped me in the past: • Research the company thoroughly • Practice common interview questions • Prepare some questions to ask them • Dress professionally • Arrive early • Bring extra copies of your resume • Be confident and make eye contact • Follow up with a thank you email Good luck! You've got this! 💪

Sure thing! Some good questions could be: - What does a typical day look like in this role? - What are the biggest challenges facing the team/company right now? - How would you describe the company culture? - What opportunities are there for professional growth? - What are the next steps in the interview process?

Great list! I'd add: make sure to practice your handshake (firm but not crushing) and have a 30-second 'elevator pitch' about yourself ready to go.

I recently had an interview and found a method to calm my nerves. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/4RyuKFckT6k

Wait, how does this help with interviews? I'm confused 🤔

Oh sorry, I should've been clearer! I used it to call the company's HR department beforehand to ask some questions about the position and interview process. It helped me feel more prepared and less nervous.

Sounds kinda sketchy tbh. Is this even legal?

Totally legal! It's just a service that waits on hold for you. Nothing shady about it, just saves time.

Pro tip: come up with a few stories about your past work experiences that showcase your skills. You can usually adapt these to answer different types of questions.

That's a great idea! Any suggestions on how to structure these stories?

Sure! Use the STAR method: Situation, Task, Action, Result. Describe the situation, explain your task/role, detail the actions you took, and share the positive results. Keep it concise and relevant to the job you're applying for.

Make sure you have some good questions prepared for when they inevitably ask "Do you have any questions for us?" It shows you're interested and have done your research.

Remember, you're also interviewing them! Make sure the company and role are a good fit for YOU too.

idk man, just be yourself. if they dont like you for who you are, its probly not the right job anyway ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

While being yourself is important, it's also crucial to present your best, professional self. There's a balance.
