Where to find the clearing house site that shows my exact tax refund deposit date?
So I've been going crazy trying to remember this clearing house website I used last year to check when my tax refund would hit my bank account. It's NOT the IRS "Where's My Refund" tool - it's some other site that shows the actual deposit date from the clearing house that processes the payments. Last year was my first time getting a refund in like 7 years (nothing bad with the IRS, just a complicated situation), and I remember this site was super helpful because it showed me exactly when the money would land in my account before the IRS site updated. I thought I saved it somewhere but can't find it in my bookmarks. Does anyone know what site I'm talking about? It gave me the precise deposit date like 2-3 days before the money actually showed up. Would really appreciate any help since I'm anxiously waiting for this year's refund!

They're one of the main clearing houses that handle tax refunds, especially if you used TurboTax and had your fees taken out of your refund. The site is https://taxpayer.sbtpg.com/ - you can create an account there and check the status of your refund. It usually updates a day or two before the money actually hits your account, which is why many people prefer it over the IRS Where's My Refund tool. If you didn't use TurboTax, it might be another clearing house depending on which tax software you used. Republic Bank (TPG) is another common one if you used H&R Block or some other services.

Your refund will go directly from the IRS to your bank account. In that case, your best option would be the IRS Where's My Refund tool or the IRS2Go app. Another option is to check with your bank - many banks now show pending deposits 2-3 days before they actually post to your account.

I need to eat some crow here. After being super skeptical about Claimyr, I was desperate enough to try it yesterday when my refund hadn't shown up after 5 weeks. I was honestly shocked when I got a call back connecting me to an actual IRS agent after only 27 minutes of wait time. The agent told me my refund was delayed because they were verifying my W-2 information with my employer (which wasn't showing on any status tracker). She cleared it while I was on the phone and said my refund should be deposited within 5-7 days. This morning I got an updated status on the IRS site showing it's been approved. Would have never found this out from just checking the tracker sites. Sometimes you actually need to talk to a human, which I thought was impossible during tax season.

Another clearing house site to check is Republic Bank TPS (Tax Products Service). If you filed with H&R Block, TaxAct, or TaxSlayer and opted for fees to be taken from your refund, they might be handling your refund. •Cash App Taxes (formerly Credit Karma Tax) doesn't use a clearing house the same way other services do. Since they don't charge for their service, there's no need for a refund transfer process. Your refund will go directly from the IRS to your bank account. Your best option is to use the IRS Where's My Refund tool or call the IRS if it's been more than 21 days. If you have a Cash App account and chose to receive your refund there, you can check the status in the Cash App under the Banking tab.

One more tip: If u have an irs account online (irs.gov) you can access your tax transcripts which often show refund info before Where's My Refund updates. Look for a code 846 with a date - thats ur refund date! Just be warned the transcript is confusing af to read but there's lot of youtube videos explaining how to read it. Way better than refreshing WMR every 5 minutes lol.
