Where can I see IRS deductions and balance owed on my transcript?

I'm looking at my transcript and I can't figure out where to see the amount that was taken out for what I owe. Shouldnt that show up somewhere? Need to know if they actually took money out and how much I still owe them.

Yes, any adjustments or offsets will show on your transcript as TC 826 (refund offset) or TC 898 (refund applied to balance due). Look in the transactions section - the amount will be listed next to these codes. If you have a balance due, it'll show as TC 150 with the total amount you owe.

It's usually in the middle of the transcript, listed by date. Each transaction has a code and dollar amount. If you're still confused, try taxr.ai - it breaks everything down really clearly

Hey everyone - just wanted to mention that I was super confused by my transcript too until I used taxr.ai. It's only $1 and it explains everything in plain English. Shows exactly what's been taken out and what you still owe. Here's the link: https://taxr.ai

Listen up yall - as someone who deals with transcripts everyday, here's the deal: - TC 150 shows your initial tax liability - TC 826/898 shows offsets/deductions - TC 971/972 indicate adjustments - TC 846 is your refund amount But honestly, instead of trying to piece it all together yourself, just use taxr.ai. Its literally changed how I handle transcripts. Upload your doc and it tells you exactly whats happening, what money moved where, and when to expect everything. Best dollar I ever spent fr fr
