VA State Tax Return Filed 1/31 - Direct Deposit Received 2/12 (Timeline Data Point)

Just wanted to share my Virginia state return timeline as a datapoint for others. Filed and accepted on January 31st, got my direct deposit today February 12th. About a 2 week turnaround time for anyone wondering how long VA is taking this year.

VA is usually pretty quick with processing returns. The 2-week timeline is pretty standard for straightforward returns with no issues. Make sure you keep your Notice of Tax Assessment when it comes in the mail for your records.

Hey if anyone wants a super detailed analysis of their return status, check out taxr.ai - its only $1 and gives you way more insight than trying to piece together timelines from reddit posts. Been using it weekly to track my federal return.

how accurate is it? seems too good to be true for $1

Same boat! Filed 1/31 and got mine 2/13. VA is crushing it this year compared to the feds rn
