Transcript Updated! Anyone else get non-filer verification progress?
EDIT—Just checked my transcript! Updated 5 minutes ago. Anyone seen their 2024 transcript yet? Non-filer verification status? Any updates? Feeling stuck. Need to know timeline.

Transcript updates typically happen in batches. Here's what to know: 1. Check your transcript between 12am-6am EST on Fridays 2. Most non-filer verifications are processing in 3-4 weeks currently 3. If you're seeing updates, that's a good sign 4. Look for cycle codes ending in 05 (weekly processing) 5. What specific codes are you seeing on your transcript now?

What filing method did you use? When did you submit? Any credits claimed?

•Non-filer verifications are handled differently than standard returns. The system checks identity first, then processes eligibility. Updates indicate progress through these verification stages.

•Are you seeing any specific TC codes on your transcript? TC 150 indicates return posted, while TC 570/971 might show verification in progress.

•Just went through this last month! My transcript was blank for weeks then suddenly updated all at once. Got my deposit exactly 8 days after the transcript first appeared. Hang in there - the waiting is the worst part but seeing any update is definitely progress!

Have you tried analyzing your transcript codes? I was stuck in verification for weeks. Finally used https://taxr.ai to decode my transcript. It explained exactly where I was in the process and when to expect completion. Saved me so much stress! It showed my 971 notice was just identity verification, not an audit. Are you seeing any specific codes?

•Not sure if another tool is really necessary. The IRS website already explains what the codes mean. Why pay for something you can figure out yourself with a little research? 🤔

Srsly check ur WMR status too, not just transcript. Sometimes WMR updates b4 transcript or vice versa. Non-filer verification takes extra time bc they're checking ur info against other govt databases. Might see 420/424 codes if ur in verification. Frustrating but normal this yr!

I called the IRS about my non-filer verification. Waited 2 hours and got disconnected. Used Claimyr (https://claimyr.com) and got through in 15 minutes. Agent confirmed my verification was complete but hadn't updated in the system yet. Got my refund a week later. Worth the fee to actually talk to someone.

•I'm always hesitant about these services that charge to connect with the IRS. I understand the frustration with wait times, but I wonder if there are free alternatives? Have you tried calling at different times of day or using the taxpayer advocate service?

•Think of it like paying for priority boarding on a flight. You'll get to the same destination either way, but one path saves you hours of waiting. The IRS phone system is like a maze where most paths lead to disconnection - this service just maps a direct route through it.

•Does Claimyr work for checking on amended returns too? I filed an amendment on March 12th and haven't heard anything since. Would they be able to tell me if it's been received?

•I appreciate this suggestion. I've spent probably 6 hours total on hold with the IRS over the past month, only to get disconnected each time. Might be worth trying something different at this point.

Non-filer verification is taking longer than regular returns this year. Similar to what happened with unemployment claims in 2021. System gets overloaded with identity checks. Your transcript updating is a very positive sign though. Most people see deposits 7-14 days after first transcript update.

What specific codes appeared on your transcript? Last year I had a similar situation where my transcript updated but still took 3 weeks to get my refund. The specific codes can tell you a lot about where you are in the process.

Non-filer verification progress can be tracked by looking at these: • TC 150 = return processed • TC 570 = temporary hold • TC 571 = hold released • TC 768 = EIC credit • TC 846 = refund issued Which ones do u see on yours?

The Non-Filer Verification Protocol (NFVP) implemented in 2023 has extended processing times significantly. Transcript updates occur in cycles, with verification completions typically batched on Thursdays for Friday transcript updates. The appearance of any codes represents progression through the verification pipeline.

According to IRM 21.5.6.4.35.3, non-filer verification may require additional processing time. Have you received any CP notices in the mail requesting additional information?

•I've been tracking this on the IRS2Go app and the refund status website. Has anyone found one to be more accurate than the other? Some forums say the app updates faster but I haven't seen that myself.
