Transcript Still Shows N/A and WMR Stuck on First Bar - Filed 2/8

Anybody else still show N/A transcripts and wmr stuck on one bar? Filed 2/8 & accepted 2/12. It's been over 6 weeks now and I'm starting to get worried. No updates at all since acceptance. Starting to think something's wrong with my return...

This is actually quite common right now. The IRS is experiencing significant processing delays this tax season. Many early filers (January/February) are seeing extended processing times. The "N/A" transcript typically means your return is still in the initial processing queue and hasn't been fully integrated into their system yet. As long as you received an acceptance confirmation when you filed, your return is in their system.

Thanks for the info. Should I be calling them at this point? I'm just worried because my friend filed a week after me and already got her refund last Friday.

I was in the exact same situation! Filed 2/5, accepted 2/6, and was stuck with N/A transcripts until just last week. I was freaking out because my sister got her refund in like 10 days. I found this tool called taxr.ai that helped me understand what was happening with my transcripts once they finally appeared. It explained all the codes and gave me a much clearer timeline than the vague WMR bar. Might be worth checking out once your transcripts update.

I'm always skeptical of these third-party tools. How do you know they're not just pulling generic info you could get from the IRS website for free? Or worse, collecting your data?

That's a fair question! I was hesitant too. The difference is it actually interprets what the codes mean specifically for YOUR situation, not just the generic definitions. And it doesn't ask for any personal info beyond what's already on your transcript - no SSN or anything like that. It just helps translate the IRS jargon into plain English. But totally get the skepticism!

Last year I was in the same boat. Filed February 10th, and my transcript showed N/A until March 29th. Then suddenly everything updated at once and I got my refund on April 2nd. Sometimes returns get randomly selected for additional review, even when there's nothing wrong with them. The system is super backed up this year from what I've been hearing.

Did you claim any credits like the Earned Income Credit or Child Tax Credit? Those automatically get additional scrutiny and can add weeks to processing time. Also, if there were any discrepancies between what your employer reported and what you entered, that could trigger a delay.

When my return was stuck like this last month, I tried calling the IRS regular number for DAYS with no luck. Always got the "high call volume" message and disconnected. Finally used Claimyr.com to get through to an agent in about 15 minutes. The agent confirmed my return was just in normal processing with no issues flagged. Totally worth it to stop the anxiety of not knowing what was happening. Here's their link: https://youtu.be/_kiP6q8DX5c

I've been trying to call the IRS for the past week with no luck. How much does this Claimyr service cost? Might be worth it just to get some peace of mind at this point.
