Tax examiner forwarded return to adjustment dept - how long for refund release after WMAR shows completed?
My amended return needed a signature so I overnighted it back in September. WMAR shows completed Nov 15 but transcript hasnt updated. Just got off the phone with tax examiner who said they forwarded it to adjustment department for refund release. Anyone know how long this usually takes?

Tax professional here - typically when a return gets forwarded to adjustments after verification, you're looking at 2-3 weeks for processing. Keep checking your transcript daily for updates, specifically the 846 code which indicates refund issued.

Transcripts are way more accurate than WMR. WMR can lag behind by weeks sometimes 👍
