So I got my 846 code a few days ago. Today I checked my again and now it has the 898 code (which I assume is for state taxes that I owe and have been paying on) question is- even though the have a date of 3-15-2021 I should still get my with the date listed below, right? (3-2-2021

Tax expert here! The 846 code is definitely your federal being issued, while the 898 code shows a state tax offset. Even though the offset codes show 3/15, you should still receive your remaining federal on 3/2 as indicated by the 846 code date. The IRS processes these separately - they'll send your minus any on the 846 date.
