Refund amount wrong? Only $850 showing for 2 dependents under 3yo - CTC issue?

Just checked my transcript and my refund amount is showing $850. This cant be right - I claimed 2 kids (both under 3). Shouldnt this be way more with child tax credit? Filed early February and status just updated. Anyone else getting weird amounts for child tax credits?

Tax pro here - several things could be affecting your refund amount. Did you receive any advance CTC payments last year? Those would reduce your refund. Also check if you qualified for the full CTC based on your income. Common issue this year is partial credits based on phase-out thresholds.

Call the IRS asap! Sometimes their system glitches and doesn't process all credits properly
