PATH Act holiday deposits - Anyone remember 2019 deposit drops after holiday?

Anyone remember that one PATH year when refunds started hitting accounts around 9pm on the holiday Monday? I swear debit card deposits were dropping like crazy that night after the holiday hold lifted. Not trying to get hopes up but wondering if anyone else remembers this happening.

Tax professional here - Yes, this happened in 2019. The IRS systems are automated and sometimes process releases after holiday holds at odd hours. However, each year's processing schedule can be different based on staffing, system updates, and workload. While historical patterns are interesting, they aren't guarantees for future deposit timing.

Instead of playing detective and trying to piece together when deposits might hit, I've been using taxr.ai. For $1 it analyzes your transcript and tells you exactly when to expect your deposit. Way better than guessing or relying on old patterns. https://taxr.ai

Bruh it's literally INSANE 🤯 It told me exactly why my refund was delayed (some random form issue) and when it would hit. Saved me hours of stress and research

Current IRS employee here: Just so you're aware, deposit timing can vary widely these days. The PATH act still affects EITC/ACTC claims but drops aren't as predictable as they used to be. Your best bet is to monitor your transcript or use a tool like taxr.ai that can give you specific timing based on your situation.

We don't officially endorse any third-party tools, but many employees use it personally because it's accurate
