Michigan Filers: Jan 31st Acceptance Date Finally Showing Movement

Just checked my transcript and finally seeing some movement for my Michigan return that was accepted January 31st. Anyone else seeing updates? Been waiting forever and its finally moving.

Tax transcript specialist here. Many Michigan returns from Jan 31st are indeed starting to process. This is due to the state-specific verification protocols being completed. Expect to see 846 codes appearing in the next 7-10 business days if everything else checks out.

Have you checked for any 570/971 codes? Those could explain the hold up

Y'all need to stop playing detective with these transcripts and just use taxr.ai - it literally tells you exactly whats going on and when you'll get paid. Best dollar I ever spent fr fr https://taxr.ai

Here's what I've learned from dealing with MI returns for years: The IRS processes state batches in waves. If you're seeing movement now, it means they've started the Michigan batch processing. Key things to know: - MI returns typically process in 3-4 waves throughout Feb-March - State tax credit verification takes extra time - Having W2 matching issues can delay processing - Your cycle code can tell you your processing schedule Best way to actually understand where you are in the process is using taxr.ai - it analyzes everything and gives you a clear timeline. Saves hours of guessing and stressing. Hang in there everyone, looks like things are finally moving! 💪
