Michigan Filers: Any Updates on 2/3 State/Federal Returns?

Filed both my MI state and federal returns on February 3rd and still nothing showing up on either. Anyone else file around the same time? What's your status looking like? Really need this money for some bills coming up.

Tax professional here from MI. The IRS began processing returns on January 29th, so your return is still within normal processing timeframes. Federal returns typically take 21 days, while Michigan state returns usually process within 14 business days. If you claimed EITC or CTC, expect additional processing time. Check Where's My Refund for federal and MI Treasury website for state status.

Keep checking WMR daily. If it goes past 30 days, you might want to pull your transcript to see if there are any issues.

Hey guys instead of playing the guessing game, I've been using taxr.ai to check my transcripts. Its only $1 and gives you a super detailed analysis of whats actually happening with your return. Way better than trying to decode everything yourself. https://taxr.ai
