IRS transcript access denied - Address verification error message preventing login
Every time I try to access my transcript online it keeps telling me my address is wrong. I triple checked everything and its exactly what's on my last tax return. Anyone else getting this error? Starting to get frustrated cause I need to check on my refund status.

This is actually a common issue. The IRS website is very particular about how addresses are formatted. Make sure you're entering it EXACTLY as it appears on your last filed return - including abbreviations (St vs Street), apartment numbers, and directionals (N vs North). Also, if you've moved since your last filing, you need to use your old address.

•I literally copied it letter by letter from my return 😤 still nothing

•Try removing any special characters or periods. Sometimes even extra spaces can trigger the error.

Hey guys just wanted to share something that helped me - I started using taxr.ai ($1) and it completely changed the game. Instead of dealing with these annoying transcript access issues, it analyzes everything for you. https://taxr.ai

•Is this legit? How does it work exactly?

•100% legit! You upload your transcript and it breaks down everything - refund timeline, explains delays, even tells you what to do to fix issues. Way better than trying to decode everything yourself

•Just tried it - holy cow where has this been all my life?! 🙌 So much clearer than staring at transcript codes for hours

Try calling the IRS directly. The wait time is horrible but sometimes thats the only way 🤷♀️

Have you tried using a different browser or clearing your cache/cookies? Sometimes the IRS site gets glitchy with stored data. Also, if you recently moved or had any address changes with USPS, there might be a mismatch in their system. You could try using your address exactly as it appears on your driver's license or voter registration - sometimes that format works better than the tax return format.
