IRS WMR Shows Received vs Accepted - What's the Difference? + Tax Advance Question
Just checked WMR and it shows received but im confused if that means its actually accepted? Filed through TurboTax but haven't gotten any acceptance email yet. Also applied for refund advance through Credit Karma but haven't heard anything back about that either. Anyone know if I need to wait for TurboTax to show accepted first before Credit Karma processes the advance?

Tax pro here - 'Received' and 'Accepted' are different stages. Received means IRS got your return but hasn't processed it yet. Accepted means they've reviewed it and officially started processing. Usually takes 24-48 hrs to go from received to accepted. For the advance, each lender has different requirements but most won't approve until IRS accepts the return.
