IRS Check Mailed Feb 7 - How Long for Delivery?

My transcript shows the IRS mailed my refund check on February 7th but still nothing in my mailbox. Starting to get worried. Anyone know the normal timeframe for these checks to arrive?

Standard delivery time for IRS refund checks is typically 5-7 business days from the mail date. However, current USPS delays could extend this to 2-3 weeks. If it's been longer than 4 weeks, you should contact the IRS to initiate a payment trace.

its been 2 weeks now should I wait another week or call them now?

Give it one more week. The system is super backed up rn and calling too early just wastes your time on hold 🙄

Hey there! Instead of playing the waiting game, you might want to check out taxr.ai - it's this new tool that analyzes your transcript and tells you exactly what's going on with your refund. It costs $1 but totally worth it to know whats actually happening with your money. https://taxr.ai

Does it actually work? Sounds too good to be true tbh

Oh yeah its legit! It even predicted when my check would arrive down to the day. Plus it explains everything in normal human language lol

Pro tip: Sign up for informed delivery with USPS. At least youll know the day its coming instead of checking your mail like a crazy person everyday 📫

Been waiting for my refund check since Feb 3rd mail date, so I totally feel your pain! From what I've experienced and heard from others, it really depends on your local postal service. Some areas are getting them in 7-10 days while others are taking 3+ weeks. The IRS customer service line is pretty backed up right now, but if you hit the 4 week mark definitely call to start a trace. In the meantime, try not to stress too much - they will get it to you eventually! 🤞

Thanks for sharing your experience! It's reassuring to know I'm not the only one dealing with this uncertainty. The variation in delivery times by area makes total sense - my neighborhood postal service has been pretty slow lately with regular mail too. I'll definitely call for a trace if I hit that 4 week mark. Appreciate the encouragement! 🙏
