ID Verify Issues: Transcript N/A & WMR Shows Identity Theft Message After Failed Online Verification

I tried verifying my identity online early March but when I called to follow up, found out it never went through. Now I cant even get through the ID verify hotline anymore. Had to schedule an in-person appointment nearly 2 months out. My transcript is still showing N/A and Where's My Refund has that annoying identity theft message. Beyond frustrated at this point.

Tax pro here - Unfortunately this is super common this year. The ID verify system has been overwhelmed. Quick tip: try calling the regular IRS line (800-829-1040) right when they open at 7am EST. Sometimes the agents there can verify you over the phone without needing the specific ID verify line.

The may appointment might not be necessary bestie. Keep trying the hotline between 1-2pm EST. They usually add new slots then and the queue is shorter.
