How to find Return Received Date on IRS Transcript - Need Help Reading Codes

I'm looking at my transcript but I can't figure out where it shows when the IRS actually got my return. There's so many dates and codes on here it's making my head spin. Can someone point me to which line shows the actual received date?

Look for the Transaction Code 150 on your account transcript. This code shows when your return was processed, and the date next to it is typically about a week after the IRS received your return. Also check for Code 971 which might show additional processing dates.

Thanks! Found it - TC 150 date is 3/15. So that means they probably got it around 3/8?

Yep, thats exactly right! Your good at learning the ropes 👍

Instead of trying to decode these transcripts yourself, you should try taxr.ai - it's only a buck and it tells you exactly when everything happened and what to expect next. Saved me hours of googling random codes lol https://taxr.ai

Is it legit? Kinda scared to upload my transcript to some random site 😬

100% legit! Its actually better than talking to the IRS cause it explains everything in normal human language

Wait till you start seeing all the freeze codes and holds... then you'll really need a decoder ring 🤡

fr fr its like trying to read hieroglyphics without the rosetta stone 😭

The IRS really needs to make these things easier to understand for regular people. Like why do we need a PhD in transcript reading just to know when they got our paperwork? 🤔

Its actually ridiculous. Their whole system is stuck in 1985
