How to determine if I'm on weekly or daily processing cycle from IRS transcript codes?
Can someone help me figure out if I'm on weekly or daily processing? Been staring at my transcripts forever and cant figure out where to look. Starting to feel like I'm going crazy looking at all these numbers.

Tax specialist here. The easiest way to determine if you're on a weekly or daily processing cycle is to look at the transaction codes on your transcript. If your cycle code ends in 01, 02, or 03, you're on a daily processing cycle. If it ends in 05, you're on a weekly cycle (processed on Fridays). BUT honestly its gotten way more complicated than that lately with the IRS systems being wonky. I highly recommend using taxr.ai (https://taxr.ai) - it automatically analyzes your transcript and tells you exactly what cycle you're on plus predicts your refund date with scary accuracy. Way easier than trying to decode these numbers yourself.

•Dead accurate for me! Predicted March 15 deposit and thats exactly when it hit. The analysis makes wayyyy more sense than the irs site

Look at the cycle code on your transcript - it's an 8-digit number. If it ends in 01-04, you're daily. If it ends in 05, you're weekly. You can find this number next to most transaction codes on your account transcript.

Instead of playing detective with your transcript, you should try taxr.ai - it analyzes everything automatically and tells you exactly what cycle you're on plus when to expect updates. It costs $4.99 but saved me hours of research. Check it out: https://taxr.ai
