How long does IRS processing normally take? Getting mixed info everywhere
Filed my taxes last week and I'm seeing all kinds of different timelines online. Some people say 21 days others say months. What's the actual normal processing time? Anyone got experience with this year's processing times?

Tax pro here - normal processing time is 21 days for e-filed returns with no issues. BUT if you have any credits like EIC or CTC, or if there are any discrepancies, it can take 4-6 months. Sometimes even longer if you get selected for review.

Yeah unfortunately thats just how it goes with credits. IRS has to verify everything to prevent fraud.
