Got mysterious IRS letter - need help identifying what it means

Just got a letter from the IRS in my mailbox. Havent opened it yet and I'm kinda freaking out. Anyone know what these usually mean? Should I be worried? Also any tips on what I need to do once I open it?

First off, relax! The IRS sends letters for many routine reasons. Without opening it, it's impossible to know what it's about. Could be a notice about your refund, verification request, or just general information. Open it asap - ignoring it won't make it go away. Just remember to keep the envelope and all documents together.

Identity verification is super common! Just follow the instructions in the letter - usually you'll need to call the number they provide or visit their website with your personal info and tax documents. Don't stress, it's just a security measure!
