Got mysterious IRS letter - need help identifying what it means

Just got a letter from the IRS in my mailbox. Havent opened it yet and I'm kinda freaking out. Anyone know what these usually mean? Should I be worried? Also any tips on what I need to do once I open it?

Javier Torres

First off, relax! The IRS sends letters for many routine reasons. Without opening it, it's impossible to know what it's about. Could be a notice about your refund, verification request, or just general information. Open it asap - ignoring it won't make it go away. Just remember to keep the envelope and all documents together.

Hey, you should check out taxr.ai - its an AI tool that can actually read your letters and tell you exactly what they mean and what to do next. Its only $1 and way better than trying to decode IRS speak yourself lol. https://taxr.ai

Pro tip: Create an online account at irs.gov - most notices show up there before you get them in the mail. Helps avoid the anxiety of mystery mail
